Great location and loved the Godzilla themed floor and room!
Pros:

Great location in the middle of Kabuki district, within a few minutes walk to the Shinjuku station. We wanted to experience the Godzilla floor and it met its purpose. The staff were fluent in Japanese and English and the hotel primarily catered to foreigners. The room was very clean, and the size was small but comparable to other hotels in Tokyo.

Cons:

We couldn’t access the Godzilla head from the terrace. But we knew this when we made the reservation.

Very dissapointing stay. Would never return to this hotel

The location was good, close to the Shinjuku Centre and stations and lots of restaurants around the hotel. Also a 7-eleven dowstairs was a bonus.

Cons:

One of the worst hotel layouts I’ve ever experienced. As soon as you enter the room, the sink is right next to the entrance, with the toilet and bathroom separated. I understand this might be to maximise space, but the overall room felt far from a 4-star standard.

Considering we paid $400 AUD per night (yes, per night), the room quality was closer to a 2-star hotel. Amenities were almost non-existent.

On top of that, the choice of carpet was atrocious. It genuinely felt like hundreds, if not thousands, of people had walked over it before we checked in. It looked greasy, worn out, and unclean, which made the entire room feel unhygienic.

We contacted reception immediately after checking in to request either an upgrade or a refund. The only upgrade available was a slightly larger room with the exact same layout, costing an additional $110 AUD per night, which didn’t seem worth it. So we requested a refund instead.

We escalated the issue to the manager, who was extremely rude and unwilling to assist. We then had to go through Booking.com, and they only responded the night before our check-out.

Overall, a very disappointing stay and not the experience we expected to end our Japan trip.
