This is my second time staying at the Hotel Gracery. Located right in the heart of Kabukicho, it is an incredible experience for the sound, lights and entertainment. The hotel has a 7/11 underneath, as well as a Starbucks located 5 minutes away and a number of restaurants. It is handy being 5/10 minutes from Shinjuku station.
The Godzilla theme makes this hotel quirky and fun. You cannot go out onto the balcony to see the Godzilla. The bar has Godzilla themed drinks and desserts.
Please be advised that the rooms are small - suitcases can be stored open under the bed. You do see the lights from the streets below and music can he heard. The rooms are incredibly clean.
Overall, the staff were polite, welcoming and helpful. There is a luggage sending service located in the lobby too.
Location
Room was tiny.
I love the bathroom. The big tub made me wish I had booked a longer stay
Overall, I had no complaints
Location is superb, right in the middle of the action with a lot of interesting places to visit, easy access to metro and bus lanes, staff is amazing.
I understand I might have had wrong expectations as a foreigner, but I didn't expect the room to be so small. It would be great if we didn't have any baggage with us because there wasn't any place to put them. Although this might be on me for not looking closer at the room photos in the listing!
The location in Shinjuku was great! Easy access to the train stations and very walkable wherever you wanted to go. Food and shopping were all very close and I felt the cost was reasonable - however I’ve stayed in nicer hotels nearby for similar or less cost.
I’m not sure why the Godzilla balcony was closed, but it was disappointing not to be able to go outside for the view as it was a selling point of the hotel. I know this seems silly, but the toilet paper was waaaaaaay too thin for use with a bidet. I’m not sure what the story was with the tub / shower room, but I found bathing a challenge. The staff was reasonably pleasant considering how busy the hotel was, but far from as pleasant as I experienced in the rest of Tokyo.
Very central location. Walking distance to a lot of things and public transport. Customer service was also top notch. Friendly staff. Rooms were comfy.
N/a
Many eateries and restaurants nearby , downstairs.
Accessibility from haneda airport by airport shuttle bus albeit the bus stops at a building about 200 m away.
The distance to subway station is easily 500 m to 700m away not exactly near as it requires some walking time.
Room is extremely small, even when a double room was booked. Two persons can hardly move around the room well.
Not enough hooks and hangers for clothes.
Overall very cramped feeling.
Great location and fun for kids to be in such an iconic place
The facilities were fairly minimal and the staff, when you did see them were friendly but it didn’t really feel like a welcoming hotel. The breakfast buffet was quite poor and disorganised with different items running out. Not just food but also mugs, glasses and cutlery.
Location
Double room was tiny with awkward layout
