Excellent location, great place to stay with kids or not, we really enjoyed it and would come back!
Pros:

Amazing location, with great surfing and swimming right on your doorstep. 5 minute drive to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and super close to the airport. We had two kids with us aged 9 and 12 and it was perfect, there is a lagoon just down the end of the beach if you prefer that to waves (lots of dogs there though). There is a cafe 5 mins walk away and supermarket 10 mins walk. The pool was a great temperature and the grounds nicely maintained. Our two bedroom apartment was really spacious. We would stay again.

Cons:

Our apartment was quite dated. It did say upon booking that the apartment was in original condition. The lounge and dining was absolutely fine though. The bathrooms looked like they hadn't been touched since the 1970's and the kitchen maybe early 1990's. Everything was tidy, though. Some apartments in the building have been renovated.

Great location, with wonderful ocean views.
Easy access to beach, walking paths and playground areas. Nice BBQ areas.

Cons:

No air conditioning, this along with no sunblock blinds made for a very hot living area. The apartment needs a good clean; floors were sticky and left our feet quite dirty. Ceiling fans dusty. Cupboard shelves need a good wipe over. Crockery was bits and pieces of mixed items. One plug for double kitchen sink, that doesn’t work - see no couldn’t hold water. Drainage rack needs to be thrown away and replaced. Fridge door requires a lot of force to close.

Pros:

The apartment was lovely had all the amenities you needed. The beds were comfortable. The lounge needed a little clean, but you can put that back on guest too!! Overall loved our stay. Views were breathtaking. Gardens and pool well looked after!

Cons:

Nothing to do with our stay or the apartment but if you wanted to get to surfers with out your own vehicle its an Uber or bus trip!
I would have liked possibly various pillows as they were all quite on the thin side.

Lovely long weekend apartment
Pros:

We were in 12E with the balcony facing NE.
Fantastic location to patrolled surf beach, creek, cafe and walking track. Lockup storage for boards, underground car park, one of the tidiest places I have ever visited. Had board games and puzzles. Nice heated pool and spa. Was able to offer a late check out till 11am. View towards Surfers Paradise was so beautiful.

Cons:

We think that for $500 per night there should have been sufficient toilet paper, detergent to wash up, shampoo/conditioner for 3 nights instead of the very limited amounts provided. Also a few other small basic items would make it perfect (eg. tissues, salt and pepper, oil) but Coles is nearby so it's easy to stock up - just wasn't counting on having to bring absolutely everything - in terms of value for money those little things (especially enough toilet paper) would bring it up to a higher score for us. Otherwise we would definitely come back and bring some of these essential supplies with us.

Good place and views, terrible sleep. Wake up at 4:30 and go for a walk.

The unforgivable mistake of not having AC. It is summer in Australia, with windows close it’s too hot, with them opened it’s too noisy.

Beds and pillows were sub standard, contributing to the terrible nights.

The fan on bedroom 2 was extremely noisy.

In summary, sleeping was terrible for the whole family.

Location and staff were polite.

Cons:

General condition of the apartment was dirty, unhygienic ( blood and sweat on my pillow), long hairs left in one bed shower tray, certainly needs a renovation and tidy up throughout which would go a long way.

Limited access to reception staff isnt ideal. The 24 hour number supplied wasn't answered which was a pain we didn't need.

Before booking please make sure you are aware which room you are actually booking. I dont believe it was made very easy distinguishing this fact.


On speaking with staff I was advised I had actually been upgraded to an air conditioned unit for free which meant the one I had booked was non conditioned apartment which would have been an unbearable experience had I have remained.
