Beautiful hotel located right next to the river. Rooms are modern and spacious with a beautiful view of Chongqing skyline. Staff is helpful. Great breakfast selection, serving Chinese and traditional Chongqing food. Great location.
The staff doesn't really speak English, even at the reception.
Last min booking for family trip. Assigned a pretty big room. Overall satisfactory but breaks fast options can be improved as I practically have been

The Sheraton Chongqing is located at the Southbank of Yangtze River of Chongqing. The hotel has a stunning lobby. Its close proximity to the south bank allows the guest to make a casual stroll on the river bank, which is very enjoyable at night. It is a bit far public bus and subway station (you may want to take a taxi to reach the hotel).
As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite member, I was upgraded to a corner suite with river view. The room is spacious, with a full bedroom, a full living room with its own toilet. There is a tub at the corner of the room where you can relax over the beautiful view outside the hotel.
The dining option is excellent. The hors d’oeuvres at the executive lounge lasts from 5:30pm to 8:00pm, with high lights such as the hot pot, roast pork neck with potatoes, fried pawn slices, fried chicken and sweet potato balls. The breakfast buffet runs from 6:30am to 10:30am, with fresh squeezed watermelon and carrot juices, freshly made noodles and wonton, etc..
I have been to this hotel several times, it is very clean and well organized, the problem for us Westerners is the poor knowledge of the English language and the only Chinese breakfast. I understand that the Chinese presence is predominant but if Chongquin wants to attract intercontinental visitors it must make itself international.
The staff are friendly and helpful
The employees are very kind and can speak english. Trisha Xiong was our waitress and is really friendly, and helped us to provide some information. The building and furniture looks amazing. They have a lounge on the 36th floor with great view over the city!
