Late check in- headaches and more

The location is great. Breakfast was great. Busy, go early.

Cons:

Difficulty checking in- I had called the front desk, got no answer, left a voicemail to who turned out to be the head lady, letting her know we would be arriving after midnight and I didnt want any chaos at check in, after id been driving 10+ hrs and had small children. I was in a chat thread with someone, who I thought was for the hotel, but not sure who or what that was with... either way, I went above and beyond to avoid chaos about a late check in, and guess what. When I got there at 5am, they had canceled my reservation for "no show". Sooo the ladies behind the desk were great, they didnt know what to do but 20 minutes and 5 phone calls later, I was given keys and all was good.

Got to rooms( 2 side by side) and overall the lobby was beautiful, loved how secure everything is, key card access for everything even elevators. But rooms need updated, and deep cleaned, found layers of filth on the doors, and trim, black mold on the floor in bathroom area, bed was so sunk in, that it felt like you were rolling to the middle. No spare blankets in rooms, but the water got hot and the doors locked, so overall, we made it work!

Needless to say- if youre going to be late for check in, raise hell to make sure you speak to someone IN the hotel and get their name. Good luck!

Very nice hotel and staff. Would stay again. Room very spacious! Nice and quiet.
Pros:

Good location. Nicely decorated.

Cons:

Well, there is a meth clinic around the corner and seems Louisville has a large homeless population. People sleeping in doorways caught me off guard. Valet was used to park under the building, so I felt better about that. The bathroom door was filthy. This seems to be needing to be taught in housekeeping 101 in every chain these days. Women touch the door with makeup hands or kids. Please tell staff to clean inside and outside bathroom doors. It’s happening in every hotel recently. So many germs in a bathroom to begin with. Shower was awesome tho!!

I wanted to like this, but even with the upgrade from Hilton Honors, I was sorely disappointed with how dated the rooms
Pros:

The lobby is gorgeous, and smelled lovely. I was hopeful for the room. The front desk staff was very kind and helpful. It was very cold and the valet was great to have. And the breakfast far exceeded our expectations of a free breakfast.

Cons:

The room was dated, but packaged ok. The bathroom needs a serious deep clean. The shower leaked all over the floor. The bed was not comfortable and the pillows were AWFUL.
