Sunlife Hotel Old City

Chambre Deluxe au 5 ème. Bof odeur d essence pénible, propreté limite et pas de quoi suspendre sa serviette dans la salle de bain. Robinetterie vétuste.
Pas de lampe de chevet, obligé de se lever pour éteindre. Mauvaise connexion internet.Pdj moyen.
Le bon point : bien situé et personnel sympathique.
Bilan : pas génial j ai trouvé mieux et moins cher le jour suivant.

This is a nice hotel in the old city, with small streets and all the beauty of the old city to appreciate.
The staff was very friendly and comprehensive. They recommended and booked the tours for me.
They also provided me with a gluten-free breakfast, from the very beginning. Even though I arrived early at the hotel, they allowed me an early check-in.
The hotel is near to almost everything. That is a good thing because you have the chance to walk and visit more places.

The only remarkable thing about this hotel is their airport pick-up; though expensive at 35 Euros, the car was top-notched clean and presentable.
That is all where the first impression ended.
The receptionist is efficient and friendly. Thanks, Ahmed, for waiting for us to arrive at the hotel at almost 4 am.

WiFi works well. AC is cool.
I get it that the hotel is 1-star, but at least keep it cleaned and well-maintained.
The bedsheet is itchy. The towels have long strands of hair, although we both have short hair. It’s gross! We didn’t use the towels since it’s dirty, old, yellowish, frayed and smelly.
The bathroom is filthy. The TV isn’t working.
Luckily, we are only staying in this hotel for 8 hours.
The breakfast is basic and self-service, cafeteria-style. There are other options; it will be the best look for another one.

This is our second visit to Istanbul and we chose Sunlife Oldcity again. The hotel left a great impression the first time so we're here again. The hotel is clean, the breakfast is really good and the staff is really helpful and nice. We plan to stay here if we ever visit Istanbul again!

Very clean,they clean rooms every day.
Very small rooms,and poor breakfast.
But for the price we paid,very good.
We will stay again if we visit Istabul again

We couldn't ask for a better location, 5 min walk to the top attractions in the Sultanahmet area. Which is exactly where you need to be!
Clean and tidy, staff great and always happy to please. They sorted out a shuttle bus both ways for a reasonable rate. Breakfast is a typical one from Turkey, buffet style. We can't really fault anything to be honest. Central, but one street back it's so quiet.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was small but clean. The breakfast is a basic one (cereals, bread, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, boiled eggs, coffee and tea).
It is very closed to the tram station.
The staff was very nice and they helped us a lot (indications and recommandations about what to do).
The negative part is the noise from the other rooms (you can easily hear what your neighbours are talking).
Overall, we are satisfied with the accomodation taking into consideration all the aspects: location, price, services.

This small hotel is great for budget travelers, can't beat the prices. The location is great, 5 min walk to Sultanahmet area, near tram 1 station, easy to transfer by tram to Ataturk Airport. Standard double room was warm, clean enough, enough space for budget. Bathroom functional. The best about this hotel is the staff - so nice and helpful, easy and fast in online communication. Arranged airport transfer with them, went very smooth (20E). Breakfast was very basic, but OK for the price.
I would not stay again because of the noise: we arrived late night and barely could sleep: at 6AM music started to play from the breakfast room (which was on the floor above us) and doors slamming. I did not book the budget ground floor room especially because I taught it would be noisy and needed a good sleep, but apparently a 4th floor room is also not good for sleeping. All I wanted was a good sleep during a long layover, not loud music at 6AM, from the speakers of a phone (from breakfast staff). Also pillows are very big and hard. The key card would not stay in the wall socket unless blocked by something (we used the remote).

Café fraco

This is the perfect base for exploring the area as it's only 600 metres away from the main attractions such as the Blue Mosque, Basillica Cistern and Aya Sofiya mosque.

It is found down one of the many side streets and is only a few minutes walk from Sultanahmet tram station.

The hotel is quite basic in terms of rooms but they are cleaned daily and the staff are wonderful.

I head a late flight in, so organised a hotel private taxi when I arrived, which was perfect and went smoothly.

Breakfast was served on the terrace every morning with the usual choices of cereals, bread, cheese, salad and juices.

The rooms were nice and quiet so there was no street noise at night time, so helped for a good night's sleep!

They can arrange any tours you may want to do also.

A good little find.

The best part about this hotel is that it is very close to the tourist attractions in Sultanahmet Area - Hagia Sophia, Topkapi and Basilica Cistern are all within walking distance. The Sultanahmet tram station is also very close which can give you access to other parts of the city. Rooms are quite small, but comfortable. Ok for travel with friends (not sure about couple rooms). Staff takes efforts to clean it. Breakfast options are very limited. Got quite bored having the same stuff daily for 6 days . But there are lots of food options in Sultanahmet to try out. Staff was very helpful and a big thanks to Mr. Ramazan.

Nice hotel, the only minus is small rooms

Nice and cozy hotel, friendly staff, amazing location, quiet neighborhood... What else can one want in Istanbul?

The hotel waa nice, staff very friendly
The room was ok but the mattress was not fit for a hotel, the coils had given up in one side of the mattress and the body was getting into a hole , therefore very unconfortable.

Temiz ve güzel bir otel

Small hotel in a really good location, 5’ walk from Hagia Sofia. Rooms are really small, but extremely clean!
The buffet breakfast is on the roof terrace! All mediterranean products of an amazing quality and many things to choose from.
