More than a stay, a step back in time.
Pros:

Staying at Pousada Castelo Óbidos was truly magical. Arriving as the day-trippers drifted away, the village grew quiet and the castle felt wonderfully our own. From the warm welcome of ginjinha served in chocolate cups to candlelit dinner within ancient stone walls, every moment felt steeped in history. Our room overlooked Óbidos’ red rooftops, and walking the ramparts at dusk as the lights flickered on was unforgettable. The night was perfectly still, and morning bells and mist over the countryside completed the experience. This wasn’t just a hotel stay — it felt like living inside history.

Special and unusual accommodation
Pros:

How many times have you slept in an ancient castle? Special and unusual accommodation in a castle. A real experience. The room was very spacious. In terms of accessibility - there is no entrance with vehicles to the village, but there is a hotel service that comes to pick you up with a tuktuk. Getting to the room and also to the dining room requires climbing stairs. It is recommended to get there with a small bag for the duration of your stay. In the room itself, access to the bathroom requires going down several stairs. A varied breakfast with a beautiful view. For those staying there, there is the option of climbing the wall for a lookout in the tower area - don't miss it.

Cons:

There is a slight smell of mold, but this is in keeping with the character of the place.

Muito boa estadia
Pros:

Localização, instalações e comida maravilhosas

Cons:

Reservamos 2 quartos.
1 foi no interior do Castelo e foi ótimo.
O outro foi no exterior, na parte do pátio. Não foi tão bom. Estava chovendo e tínhamos que montar ora ter acesso a parte interna da pousada.

One of our favorite visite ever! Quaint, picturesque and perfect!
Pros:

We actually loved everything! The room, the space, the picturesque town, the castle walls, the shops and breakfast were all exceptional. All 4 of us rated it perfect and would definitely choose to return to the exact town, exact hotel ( castle!)
