Alex helped us with the luggage, he was so pleasant and helpful. Staying inside the walls was wonderful, you can enjoy the small town before and after the crowds arrive and dinner in the dining room of a castle was a great experience. Breakfast was great and the staff very attentive.
The standard room inside the castle is very small and uncomfortable. We were upgraded to a suite in the adjacent building which was very comfortable but full of bugs!!!

Loved being at castle, very cool. Room was a bit musty but fine when you cracked a window. Loved the breakfast and staff was great. Traveling around the castle wall was fun and the shops adorable!

The location was the highlight of the stay — convenient, well situated, and ideal for visiting the city.
We were also impressed by the gentleman who assisted with our luggage to and from the car. He was professional, cheerful, entertaining, and easy-going, and his warmth stood out as a particularly memorable part of the stay.
The biggest disappointment was the comfort of the beds. The mattresses were extremely soft and felt cheap, making it difficult to sleep and leaving me with backache the next morning. My friend, who was in a different room, had the same experience, which suggests this is a broader issue rather than a one-off problem. In addition, the room lacked even a basic desk for using a laptop, although there appeared to be ample space for one.

The setting of the hotel in the old castle, at the top of a fantastic old town, is hard to beat. The room had good facilities. The breakfast room had great views over the surrounding countryside.
We had paid for a superior room and, while it had all you needed, it was windowless. I suppose this is to be expected in the base of a castle tower, but a little claustrophobic.

Experiência única de se hospedar dentro de um castelo. Staff muito prestativo; inclusive foram nos buscar no estacionamento na entrada da cidade de carro pois chovia muito quando chegamos. Café da manhã espetacular.
