Incredibly good location, close to the Temple Mount, within the walls of the Old City of the Capital of Israel, fabuolus, abundant, parrticularly rich breakfast, sustainable price, acceptable room with evertything within.
We alway come and stay here because of the location, it’s 5 min walk to kotel.
Very convenient because it’s near Kotel. But the Shabbat meals are expensive.
Our experience at The Sephardic House Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled just steps away from the Zion Gate in the Jewish Quarter, this beautifully restored building offers the rare opportunity to stay inside Jerusalem’s Old City while enjoying modern comforts and warm, attentive hospitality.
From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the elegance and charm of the historic architecture. The interior courtyard, with its stone arches and serene ambiance, evokes the rich cultural heritage of the Sephardic community while providing a peaceful retreat from the city’s energy. The rooms are tastefully decorated, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
The location is truly unbeatable. Within minutes, we could walk to the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and countless other holy and historical sites. Being able to explore the Old City early in the morning and late in the evening, when it’s quieter and more atmospheric, was a unique privilege.
Staying in the Old City of Jerusalem is such a special experience, and there are very few hotels located there. This place is so charming and has a very special vibe to it. It is a short walk to the Kotel, and it was so close to everything we wanted to visit. The staff was great, and the hotel room and facilities was exactly what we were looking for. Only disappointing thing was the breakfast that was offered, but I think that's mainly due to the war and drop in tourism. I really hope that this summer the tourist industry improves and that people get to visit these charming hotels.
Loved the staff, very accommodating. Josefine was great!
I have passed this place a dozen times and I never even thought of walking in there and it was fantastic
I liked that the location is 5 min walk to the Western Wall. The breakfast was really great and the staff was nice and helpful. The Shabbat dinner was very special (but that is extra - not included in price). The only thing I didn’t like was that the central air conditioning made it very cold for me and there was no solution for it other than extra blankets and pillows. Also there is no laundry which can be a problem for a longer stay. Otherwise everything was great.
Perfect quiet accommodations for spiritual retreat. Friendly staff, helpful and accommodating. Would definitely plan a trip back.
There were little children that played wildly and banged on our door every 5 minute during the rest hour. This was terrible.
Amazing stay 5*
I am writing this review in the hope that the hotel actually bothers to read and respond to it, as they are not responsive to other mediums.
I was booked and paid for my stay at the hotel in April.
However due to the situation in israel our flights were cancelled. I messaged the hotel to advise them of this and to request credit if possible for the missed stay.
TO date no response- very poor service. Take your money and not care.
It’s a small hotel close to the Western Wall. Very lovely patio and short walk to main visiting sites in the middle of the old city in Jerusalem. The breakfast was simple but tasty. The service was friendly.
I’m giving 5 points mostly for the location and hospitality.
The hotel is well placed. We were there for a shabat (Saturday)
On the evening our telephone disappeared from our room.
One of the team (itamar) checked the video but he didn’t find nothing. The next day (Sunday) they told me the cleaning team tried to find it but nothing also.
We left. But on Monday we’ve got a WhatsApp that someone uses a pay application.
So someone found it.
I called the hotel but they can’t do anything.
Only call the police.
The ceo never called us.
Bad experience.
Great place to stay for Shabbat in Old City!! Near all sites!
Staff at breakfast is kind of rude, they just get the food out of the kitchen and that’s it, nothing warm, nothing prepare for guests, and you can see them eating while guests are still having breakfast the breakfast hotel hours.
Property is ok but not for the price of a 4star hotel.the entry door is even broken you have to push it really hard to getting bc the security guard that’s sitting there i guess is for decoration, bc he doesnt even ask if you are a hotel guest so i guess anybody can get in.
Reception staff is ok, but they are not kind ehen we check in they didn’t even bother to explain the location of the hotel in the area, neither any eating or attractions suggestions.
The bed is comfortable. Elevator was always an issue we were in the 5th floor and elevator often only made it to 4. Definitely not a 4star.
It wasn't a good experience. The hotel is too noisy, people talking too loud in the corridors late at night. The people at the front desk do not have good customer service.
Local to Jewish quarter, easy walk to Jaffa gate. Quite. Good breakfast.
I love it stay there very good location!!!!
The hotel is in the Jewish Quarter - close to the Western Wall.
There is no parking at the hotel. Overall good accommodation. Small rooms and also the beds. The breakfast is good
