Homewood Suites by Hilton Ankeny

The location and the size of the room were great.

The staff was great took care of some of ours needs through text while we were out explorering, always greeted with smiles and whatever the front desk staff could do for us

Went for a much needed get away & to visit family in Ankeny. We had stayed here in the past and looked forward to the pool, comfy beds, clean divided rooms, reception, and the jacuzzi. Unfortunately we found the room less than clean (washed all dishes and wiped sticky surfaces before using anything, there was a dirty sock under the air conditioning unit, etc), the jacuzzi - although still listed on the website - gone, the pool changed, the room was all one open area instead of the past suites that had two beds in one room and the living area next to it (still pictured that way on the website) . There was no bedding for the fold out couch, the items in the "store" were at least four times regular retail cost. There was mail beside the refrigerator from January 2025 - a year ago. Lastly, the evening reception is only on Wednesdays now, although it is still listed otherwise in places. The kids did enjoy the sort of "taco bar" style breakfast, however.

It didn't even seem like the same hotel. For the price, it isn't worth returning.

My husband and I had a staycation here a few months ago and I have been meaning to write a review. The hotel is at a great location just off I35. Well kept hotel and friendly staff (the guy at the front desk was so pleasant and nice to talk to). There is a gas station just down the street as well as Outback and Waterfront restaurants. The best thing about this hotel was the breakfast. They had THE best carnitas (shredded pork) I've ever had. In fact they were better than any Mexican restaurant. They were so good I wanted someone to give me the recipe. I want to stay again just so I can have them. Ha! Ha! We enjoyed our stay and it was very pet friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was exceptional. Such variety and did not find any item empty.
The location made an excellent meeting place to both visit and eat.

This a wonderful Hilton property. Very nice and very clean. Terrific location!
But most importantly Cameron the desk agent was fantastic! Our air conditioner wouldn't come on and he quickly changed the batteries! After an hour it still would not work. Cameron immediately changed us to a room right across from us!
He was awesome! Very helpful and friendly!
We will be back here!

Great breakfast. Spacious rooms. Definitely will stay again!

No shampoo, no Kleenex (empty box) and tv broken.

I had a great stay with my family of 6 on our vacation to adventureland and the service was great! I hate that I can’t remember the lady at the front desks name, but she was absolutely amazing and very nice! She helped us book another room and kept the process very simple. I will be staying here again! 🙂

The staff were great, the room was very nice. I had my 2 teenagers with me we enjoyed the pool and the ease of connecting accounts to the TV to enjoy the shows they wanted at the end of the day. Breakfast was delicious.
