Bed was comfortable and the rain shower head was a pleasant surprise.
TV is nearly as wide as their "queen size" bed, good if you just wanted to stay inside.
Room was not ready when we arrived at a later check in time. On the hotel website and advertising posters around the venue, it had meal deals in the hotel restaurant and the staff were rude when we were ordering and it was then explained it's a game night we don't do those. In fact it was not a "game night" (but it was a major event close by) if they had common courtesy they should have covered up the advertised specials in the hotel foyer and lift.
The milk in fridge was already opened and had not been changed out. The amenities cupboard was close by, and door left open, so a new unopen one was easily obtained. The cleaners' trolley was also just left in the hallway in front of our door which was hard to move out of the way when trying to exit the room.
Well located for proximity to Suncorp stadium. The bathroom was modern and clean but no shower cap provided. TV was large and had good selection of channels. Nice to have a balcony and doors to allow in fresh air.
The room was compact and the bed was only a queen size. I requested parking but when we arrived at lunch time the carpark was full and we had to park in the Barracks carpark. This cost us $75 for 1 night. I feel the cost of the hotel was very expensive for what it provides.
Location to Suncorp is excellent and the only thing going for this property. The hotel is obscenely overpriced and the room was musty every time we walked in. The shower facilities in the bathroom are extremely hard to use and the shower is a drizzle not a shower. Air conditioning controls not responsive and spent most of the time boiling hot.
Everything. A very plain hamburger costs $30 in this disgraceful hotel. Staff inexperienced and young. All youth need training but in excess of $800/night I expect much better

Curtains did not cover the window sufficiently so light coming in all night from the fish well display. Putting chair against curtain did not help. Remote for TV probably needed new batteries, but reception closed
The staff were pleasant, helpful and obliging.
The price was a rip-off. It took two hours to get our meal when we had dinner there and the menu was very limited. One hour after we ordered, we were told four of our group had ordered salmon, but they only had three so someone had to order something else. There was only one sweet offered and then we were told there were only three left. There were six at our table. Very disappointing. The price of the room was five star but it was lucky to be three star. Travel from the airport to the Beetson was included in our accommodation. We clearly stated we were arriving at the domestic terminal but the driver was sent to the International terminal so it cost us $60 to get another cab. Would not stay at the Beetson again.
The property was convenient for the reason we booked. The bathroom had a good shower. The included breakfast was good
When you are paying over $1,000 per night for a room, you do not expect to be told your room is not ready at the check-in time. The excuse of 2 staff calling in sick was the reason offered. However, all that was offered as compensation was a single drink from the bar.
In addition, it turned out that advertised onsite parking, for an inner city location, was limited and by the 3:00pm check-in time was full.
We were told to drive up the road where the overnight parking cost was $75.
The carpets in the room were aged, worn and faded.

Lovely comfortable and clean room, great breakfast and stellar service. Made my short stay in Brisbane so easy.
