Good
Pros:

Good clean, modern hotel in a good location

Cons:

Breakfast wasn’t the best and beds weren’t overly comfy. Parking information unclear and we went to the wrong carpark which meant we didn’t receive discounted car parking. We only discovered this when checking out. Feel like reception could maybe check with guests when they check in and ask where they have parked to avoid confusion?

Great value hotel in a central location
Pros:

Rooms are a good size and very clean, and bathroom and shower were great, with nice toiletries provided

Cons:

Since the Marriott takeover the staff seemed distracted, and the welcome was certainly not as friendly as on previous visits. It was difficult to even get eye contact from reception staff.

The location was perfect - you can walk everywhere

Has complimentary laundry

Cons:

Le décor de la chambre aurait besoin d'un peu d'amour : peinture écaillée dans la salle de bain, tapisserie décollée à au moins deux endroits dans la chambre, tapis tâché, porte qui sépare la toilette du reste de la chambre très difficile à ouvrir et fermer, draps du lit avec un cerne (les draps étaient propres, mais tachés...

Beautiful Hotel
Pros:

Beautiful hotel in a great location. The room was spacious and had everything you needed, iron, ironing board, hairdryer etc.. The bed was so comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The one thing I didn’t like about the room at the hotel was that the bathroom door didn’t shut as it was a sliding door.

Comfortable, friendly, clean, well-equipped and lovely staff.
Pros:

Brilliant, central location yet still peaceful in the rooms. Friendly and welcoming staff, very dog friendly 🙂

Cons:

Perhaps some of the decor / furniture was a little tired in places, but in keeping with the period style.
