Hotel Salak The Heritage Bogor

I wanted to stay here for nostalgic reasons - the Hotel Salak was the only hotel in Bogor when I was growing up in this city in the 1970’s to 1980’s. The hotel shows its age, the furniture is dated. The staff is friendly. The room & bathroom are average.

The hotel offers reasonable value for money, but could be fantastic given its heritage. It looks like it could do with refurbishment (last done 25 years ago?) We chose to stay here as my parents had stayed there 70 years ago. Breakfast in the restaurant were very good with a strong local flavour. unfortunately it does not open in the evening leaving only the small cafe in the atrium area. We did not use the small pool.

My toilet was blocked fotvthe whole two days of my trip. I called reception, i attended reception, i spoke to many people. I got sorry, sorry, sorry, but for two days my toilet remaibed blocked. If i pay for a room with a toilet i expect to be able to use it, not to have excrement floating around the bowl for my whole stay. Overall, though the property is aging, i would have said my stay was good. But it is difficult to recover from a blocked toilet, and nothing done to rectify the situation. I was very upset.

Good room a bit old as it is an pld hotel but all the service and envoirment was good .

Very old room in bad condition (broken curtains, broken bin in the toilet). I paid USD 101 for a poor quality room

It was said in the hotel that they provide free shuttle service to the bus station to the Jakarta airport, but is Fake! On October 14, I tried to ask the shuttle service from hotel to Damri Station of Airport Bus:
1. First, front desk inform me to ask the staff at concierge
2. Then, I went to concierge desk, and the staff told me to ask front desk. So, they are not responsible at all!
3. Finally, the guy in the concierge informed me to wait about 10-15 minutes to prepare the vehicle.
4. After 15 minutes, I ask the staff in concierge, and they said, they will re-confirm to the front desk.
5. Finally, the guy that talk to front desk, ask another guy in the concierge to tell me that the vehicle is not ready and driver is still on the way from other places (It is very unclear where is it and whether true or false information).
6. They slightly mention that I need to wait for hour or more for the driver. Is it true?
So, finally, I decide to go to the Damri Station by Angkot with all my luggage, because it is very difficult to find taxi in front of the hotel.
So, please be aware that Free Shuttle Service by hotel is Fake!
I visited bogor around three to four times a year and always stay in hotel near by Botani Square, this time I choose Salak hotel because it is very close to imperial palace. But, based on very bad experience on the transport services offer by hotel, I won't stay there again! Don't stay in this hotel unless you have your own vehicle.

The only good thing about this hotel is that it is located right across the istana bogor where you (read: your kids) can feed the deers through the palace gate. The only good thing from my stay in the hotel is that my parents' room was upgraded to a suite with no additional cost, just bcoz my dad asked to have a connecting room with me and his grandchild -- this i truly appreciate :). Too bad the check-in process took super long (due to error in system, said the receptionist) and my elderly parents were quite disappointed from waiting too long (even though they got upgraded to a suite for free :)). The suite was a spacious room. Was it a nice room? Not really. It looks really out dated, furniture looks dull and dusty, overall screams the need to be fully refurnished. Dont expect to have a great swim here, coz the pool is small and as my 7 y.o said "not so great". Another disappoint is the room service. We ordered bfast to be delivered to the room, and it took nearly an hour to come. I also had trouble getting hot showers, as it took a while to get the water hot. Plus, the bathroom smells like worn socks. I think the hotel has a lot of potential with its historical building and story, but really needs a good investment to renovate the building/interior as well as upgrading the service

Enjoying the historical moment but yet combine with the modern technology/service
Feel like back to the old time but yet full service from the future
Really satisfied with the overall

The best part of the hotel is that it is right in front of the palace and its beautiful lawns. The hotel's premises are ok and so are the rooms.

There is problem with air conditioning.
Beside that everything id OK.

I stayed the night to attend a wedding. Needed a taxi but taxis weren't biting citing bad weekend traffic. The alternative was a car costing Rp 300K return. I asked about the hotel car and they agreed to send me to the wedding venue on the house.

Older property but room was clean and comfortable. Not enough plugs. With Fi a nightmare. Great position opposite istana and botanical gardens. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included but ordinary but they happily cooked me two boiled eggs. Nice to have a bar in rather dry Bogor. I will stay again

Had a very pleasant stay, very typical Indonesian style hotel,
staff was very helpful and a hotel car was made available to us to drop us off
the botanical garden and gong factory. Will recommend this hotel to friends.

売店や食堂が思ったより早く閉まったり、貸切でパーティなどをしていることがあるので注意が必要です

Dit hotel suggereert heel sjiek te zijn, maar dat bleek niet het geval. Het is relatief duur voor wat je er voor krijgt. De bar is ongezellig, er was geen restaurant in het hotel of in de buurt te vinden en er was veel lawaai.
Er is een klein zwembad, maar dat is vooral geschikt voor kinderen. Er wordt ook veel entertainment geregeld in en rond het zwembad.

インドネシアのスカルノ空港からボゴール行きの空港バスで終点で下車。下車した車庫の前から０３番の軽自動車のバスに乗るとホテルの前につきます。行き過ぎてもボゴール駅ですから便利なところにあり、ホテルの前の植物園から続く庭園は中に入れないが鹿が多数放し飼いにしてあり、策越しに子供が餌をやる姿が見られるいいところです。

Untuk cek in spengalaman saya nginep di hotel..kalau bkn krna full biasanya kita bs lbh cepat cek in dari waktu yg di tetapkan..jadi flexible
Kmrin kami sdh capek dan ngantuk krna dtg dari pagi..betul2 tdk ada keringanan untuk cek in lbh cepat tetap hrs pukul 2 sampe 3x sy datengin ke reception tetap tdk bisa padahal saya tau hotel tdk penuh..
