To ensure the safety, security, and registration of all guests, an insurance fee is required of four pounds and ninety seven pence per guest. This nonrefundable fee is for the pre-authorization on the card provided prior to the check in, covering any incidental charges, smoking violations detected or unsettled payments at check-out.

Good location as the office I had my meeting at was a 5 minute walk.
- Couldnt sleep due to noises all night
- contacted them via the 24/7 chat to raise my concern about the noises (the ceiling was creaking constantly like it was going to fall on me) - no response. Resulted in being able to sleep around 2-3 hours
- the check in info was wrong
- still haven’t received the requested receipt I requested for bookkeeping purposes
- bathroom door didnt close
- the door to the room felt unsafe
- while the price is affordable - I still find it a bit fishy when I pay upfront for a property on booking . com and then I’m still hit with non refundable charges by the property.

This stay was off to a bad start before it even began, with a non-refundable charge of nearly £10 extra. I tried to call out this completely shady charge with both the "hotel" (if you can call it that) and booking.com, but not a word back from the hotel, and as it's buried in the fingerprint, booking.com say I should have read it properly. Faced a choice of paying or losing the money spent on the booking, I unwillingly decided to proceed.
In a basement room that stank of cigarettes (despite numerous no smoking signs), I faced further regret. There was debris in the shower, floss on the floor and what I hope wasn't nail clippings in the carpet. A face mask from a previous guest was left on the windowsill. Felt very ill at ease the entire stay, not helped by the complete lack of human contact (just AI bots), dark corridors and the weird key situation.
Don't stay here, it's not worth it.

Nothing. It is the worst accommodation i have stayed in.
Where shall i start. The front door doesnt close and it is a receptionless check in. Random blokes hang out on the steps. Its filthy. There were mouse holes in the floor boards, wires hanging from the wall, milldew in the bathroom. Only 1 broken coat hanger. The inner door lock was held in place with pollyfiller. The bed was like a brick. The worst part that you cant tell from the photoes is the overwealming smell of thick damp. Shocking. I asked for an upgrade and no one got back to me. I asked for a refund. No communication. I had to check into another hotel. This should be taken off booking.com
It was dirty. There was brown stuff in the kettle. The microwave was rusty. The shower was black. Checking in was a nightmare. There are so many hidden fees including one for check in past 6PM. Someone we spoke too mentioned seeing someone waiting 3 hours to check in. There was nobody to speak to via phone or anywhere. The steps to the basement rooms are steep and difficult to get down. I was kept up most of the night by persistent banging. Navigation is terrible. Me and my friend left feeling rather robbed.

Check in was so confusing, they messaged saying I would get a code for the room key but we stood there for up to an hour and no message for the whole day and we kept having to message the WhatsApp number to get our code, we ended up getting our code somehow and there is no reception so no staff and nobody would pick up the phone. Needs updating or something. Also kind of confusing to find.
