Categories

Cleanliness
9
Consistently praised across reviews: 'lovely clean room', 'cleaned to a very high standard', 'super clean' — cleanliness is a clear strength.
Service
8.8
Multiple mentions of friendly, helpful and efficient staff and a particularly helpful receptionist; service is a strong positive overall.
Location
7.8
Stunning setting and grounds frequently praised, with superb views — however several guests reported poor signage and difficulty finding the property, which reduces the score slightly.
Room Quality
8.4
Rooms described as beautiful, spacious in some cases and very comfortable beds; some negatives (small bathrooms for certain rooms, rooms reported as too hot) temper the score.
Amenities
8.4
Good on practical amenities: laundry room, free parking, EV charging, access to sports centre noted. Some logistical issues (breakfast in separate building) mentioned but overall positive.
Value for Money
8.6
Several guests explicitly called it good value (‘tremendous value for money’); free parking and quality of grounds/rooms support a strong value perception.
Food and Beverage
6
Mixed reports: many guests praised an excellent breakfast, but there are notable negative comments (poor quality/badly prepared items, breakfast in separate building, restaurant/cafe closures or running out of food) leading to a below-average score.
Overall Experience
8.6
Majority of stays described as extremely enjoyable, comfortable and likely to return; overall very positive guest experience despite some specific issues noted above.

Lovely venue, stunning gardens.
Pros:

the venue was beautiful, the grounds stunning. Spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was lovely too.

Cons:

the only thing I could say was disappointing was the lady who worked in the restaurant at breakfast. Her attitude was not appreciated, we had never been to this venue before and only asked a question. Her reply was frosty, sharp and not very friendly at all. In a customer facing role you should be polite and courteous.
