Cheap and clean, but shabby as they renovate.
Pros:

Convenient to McMaster, plenty of security cameras and security staff. Sadly this is necessary in Hamilton with the opioid epidemic.

Also surprisingly nice towels.

Quiet at night.

Cons:

Property under renovation and my room was not one of the renovated ones. Rolled over dusty construction paper taped over carpets and down a narrow hall to my room. The door to a unit next door was open, showing it in mid-reno. When I entered my room with crunchy old carpet…well let’s just say I wished I was in a renovated room. There were construction supplies in the hall. Fortunately no actual construction happened.

There is not a ramp in front. To get luggage in, they will help you up the stairs or you walk around the property to find the accessible entrance. Except it’s not truly accessible…I pushed the button to open the door and it opened only partway then swung back at me.

TV not even worth turning on. A few channels, no apps to use my own accounts.

Pros:

The location to the hospitals we used was perfect, easy to find, and had all the things in the room that made our stay comfortable, microwave, coffee maker, wifi and refrigerator, even toiletries, also a restaurant on site, also the staff were really nice and helpful! Thankyou

Cons:

Pretty much everything was great , even if you can’t use the stairs at the front entrance the side entrance is rite off the parking making it easy for people with disabilities to enter, which I mite add the staff helped my husband with his belongings

Pros:

The location is very close to the highway, amenities, and downtown Hamilton; however, expect heavy traffic in downtown during rush hours.

Cons:

The building and hotel feel creepy inside and out; our room was not cleaned properly, with leftover food in the fridge, a dusty carpet, and a smell in the room.

Friendly, helpful staff trying to do their best during a renovation.
Pros:

Breakfast not included but the waitress went out of her way to make this the highlight of our stay. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. They gave us a much quieter room when the first one was too noisy due to the restaurant fan rumbling on the roof above our room.

Cons:

Hotel was being renovated so things were not as clean as they should be. Everything needs a redo. It will be interesting to drop in to see how well it turns out. It looks like people are living in the hotel so the upkeep is not what you'd expect.

Great service, great quality, excellent, and value, very pleasant staff, excellent restaurant.
Pros:

One of the best features of this property was the staff who were more than accommodating and pleasant. We ate breakfast in the restaurant the next morning and we’re very pleased with the quality of food, the service and the prices!

Cons:

As a constructive comment, we would say that the Furniture in the room needed a little attention as it was scuffed up on the edges. It did not interfere with our enjoyable stay

I was surprised to see the hotel in a worn state - the photos do not match. The staff were great.
Pros:

The room was nice, we had 2 beds and comfy. THe room was quiet.

Cons:

Food - The quality of the food was not good. THe dinner was so basic, like hospital food - corn, rice and super dry chicken breast, small piles of each on the plate.
The wallpaper in the lobby was pealing and on our floor they were doing construction, white chunks of dry wall? on the hallway and attached to my wheels of luggage.
Was the hotel that full that we could not be in the other wing?
