Quiet location tucked into the trees.
Better entrance signage would be helpful.
There was no power in the whole town when we pulled in so we could not stay. The staff was outside trying to help find other accommodations for people. It seemed like it would have been great, but......

Spacious rooms, plenty of free parking, balcony with Lakeside view, convenient location with several restaurants, pharmacy and gas station close by. The hotel is located five minutes drive from Dune Park train station which allowed us to conveniently travel to Chicago downtown by train. Train journey takes over an hour. Not too many options for breakfast but acceptable.
There is no elevator which causes inconvenience when carrying heavy luggage to the upper floor.

Staff, Max and Lauren were so kind and helpful!
Everything was shut down in Chesterton IN due to the severe storms, downed power lines, and no electricity and we couldn't stay there. We were almost out of gas and they welcomed us to sit in the lobby while we waited for hours for AAA. Max and Lauren made calls on their phones (as our batteries were low) to find out where the nearest open gas stations were. Max and Lauren are jewels. Grateful for their help.
Pool was great! Staff was friendly and made the check-in process easy
There was no elevator and our room was on the second floor. This was a dealbreaker for us - we won’t stay again for this reason. Stairs are difficult for myself and my spouse and we would not take a chance on getting a second floor room and not having the assistance of an elevator.
The room was comfortable, just a little outdated. The location is nice, we loved the lake!
The breakfast was OK. It would be nice if they offered different choices instead of the same thing every day.
The location was great for the Indiana Dunes State Park, as it was only about 10-15 minutes away. There were plenty of dining options within a short drive. Our room was very clean.
Breakfast staff could have been more attentive, as things were running out and trash was overflowing. We were also told breakfast was until 10am and they were cleaning things away at 9am. The beds could have been a bit more comfortable, as my back was pretty sore by morning.

Shower door would not stay closed.
Excellent location for visiting Indiana Dunes! The view of the lake is beautiful. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Comfortable stay all around. Highly recommended!
