There was loads of bed bugs
On first arriving, the property appeared to be generally clean and well-kept. There was also filtered water made available in the shared kitchen. The location was a reasonable walk from the centre of Cambridge (although it was quite a noisy part of town).
Although the venue advertised daily housekeeping, there was never once an indication that our room was cleaned across several days. Despite the bin overflowing (and containing off-food), it was not replaced. Similarly, no towels were changed, and the beds were not made or changed. Additionally, when we first arrived, we were unable to use the shower as the drain was completely blocked with hair, causing the shower base to overflow. We had to unblock this ourselves. And as if that was not enough, while one of us was on the toilet, the bathroom roof began to leak, slowly at first, and then quite notably. As you can imagine, this caused some concern, and we contacted the staff immediately, who told us that housekeeping would look at it the next day. Nevertheless, no one came to look at it. Although the dripping slowed, it continued overnight and through the remainder of our stay. Finally, half way through our stay, the television stopped working. We were unable to control anything and could only turn the TV off via the wall switch.
We contacted the hosts with this feedback immediately following our stay and requested a refund, but while they eventually informed us that they were "sorry for the inconveniences" and told us that they had "escalated this with senior management", we never heard anything. One month later, I followed up to ask if they could update us on the situation. That was now a month ago, and we still have not heard from them.

It was close to the train station
Some of the USB ports on the wall were loose. This isnt the end of the world.
The balcony was locked, but I didn't expect there would be one to begin with

No cleaning between days, they didn't fill soap in the room until I asked (and they didn't even bother to fill the hand soap, only the shower one lol!), left half a toilet roll for 4 days. The room didn't have anything that you'd expect to find (a glass? some tissues? more than 2 towels?).
The shower barely worked, the shower had was all brown and full of limestone.
The curtain for the window was broken, told the staff and she said "it is what it is" so I couldn't get natural light in the room.
The wifi password on the wall is wrong and they don't tell you the new one for a while until you ask...
It was such a great location for such a low price compared to other places in the area. A short walk from the train station, bars, coffee shops, supermarkets and the beautiful centre. The staff were always on hand if needed and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Location good , check in check out fully self service , AC provided shame it didn’t work.
En-suite was unusually compact , if you were on the large size you would have trouble using the toilet!!
Portable AC provided as room was very hot but was full of dust never been cleaned and didn’t work in cooling mode which is it’s whole purpose.
Schönes großes Zimmer, modernisiert, aber leider ungepflegt. Flur schmutzig, Fussboden im Zimmer auch, Toilette mit urinresten und kalkablagerungen verkrustet. Waschbecken schmutzig. Bett musste ich umschieben, um das Fenster öffnen zu können. Übergardinen hingen von der Leiste herab. Leider kein Wasserkocher und kein Ventilator. Wenn das so weitergeführt wird, werden wohl irgendwann die Gäste ausbleiben.
