Agualina Kite Resort

Disgusting avoid at all costs. AC doesn't work, beds uncomfortable, sheets stained and scratchy, no water, loud appliances and air conditioner keeps shutting off/ loud, no phone

It was a nice place and beautiful place

For the price paid it was alright. Staff was helpful when help was needed. Nice property, but some things were dated, toilet broke, staff fixed it, bedding was clean but sheets are old. Nice breakfast bar overlooking the beach.

Likes: Access to the beach. Friendly staff. Safety of the premises.

Hotel is a bit remote. Broken chair on balcony. Fridge wouldn’t close firmly. Staff were great but checked after one night and moved to a hotel right in Cabarete.

All the rooms overlook the ocean with a balcony. Staff friendly and safe. Rooms are old and need to be updated. It felt dusty and not so clean even though the cleaning staff was very efficient.

Beautiful view. Front of the beach. Mildew in the bathroom shower, sink leaked & TV only went to channel 39 all in Spanish!

We loved the great view from the balcony, very clean room and bathroom, equipped kitchenette, only missing a microwave. Very efficient and nice staff. We will go back soon.

Great location. Quiet and beautiful. Very safe. Amazing attentive kite staff!!! Very helpful people at the restaurant and kite shop. Excellent restaurant on premises. Good bed and great bathroom. Would have been great to have coffee in the rooms (or available before 8:30 am) and no smoking (it flows right from other balconies into the rooms).

Staying at Agualina through the years is always a pleasant experience, and the staff is as always cordial, wonderful, and responsive. But through the years it seems as though maintenance and upkeep of rooms and common areas are falling behind. I look forward to improving conditions of rooms and common areas by the owner, operator,management.

Very nice hotel. Right at kite beach. Very clean and well kept.

I love this little resort, the pool and the view was amaizing, the problem is that Between August and ends of September the beach has no shore, and is really hard to get into the beach and practice kitesurf or take a bath in the beach, but you can easily walk to the other side of beach

Place is excellent, quiet, beautiful view, there was no soap in bathroon (only liquid), but overall is a nice place to rest

Kite Beach is a mile from downtown. The place to stay if you want to kite (plan to go downtown each night for dinner and drinks on town beach). All Agualina rooms have fantastic ocean views. It is a small hotel with few amenities, still this is our 3rd stay here and we will likely come back. (ask for a big 5gal bottle of water when you arrive)

Puerto Plata can get loud especially at night. We stayed Sunday-Monday. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Overalls had a fun quick stay! We had the pool all to ourselves for two days. The beach was pretty empty. We had fun!
