Vertigo Hotel, Dijon, a Member of Design Hotels

Clean but very cluttered and the interior design is poor; black switches on black walls, and no separate bathroom. No space within the room and very cramped. Red light on window ledge that is impossible to turn off. Overall poor value for money.

Very small room - needed to keep suitcases under the bed since there was absolutely no room to keep them open anywhere in the room. The location is convenient, but the staff at the front desk was very unfriendly.

Great hotel, a bit quirky but a fun place. Excellent location and breakfast is above average.

We had a super time at the Vertigo and will definitely return. It’s a boutique hotel with great facilities.

The rooms are cool and the AC was effective but not noisy (rare in France!).

The seating areas throughout the hotel are very cool. The barmen made great drinks. The free candy bar is a cute gimmick. The pool and spa area is small but we enjoyed it.

Best of all is the area - walk out the door and you’re in downtown Dijon which has a lot to offer.

Hotel Staff - Our experience with the staff we encountered were that they were not particularly friendly but just did the minimum

Swimming pool - It was great that there is was a (small) indoor swimming pool and spa. Open till midnight.

Nuxe Spa - Its great that there is a Nuxe spa directly downstairs; you just take the lift. The Nuxe spa workers were a bit inexperienced and I'm not sure if they had training in massage or beauty.

Next time in Dijon I would try a different hotel as the cost vs hotel experience didn't match.

Great night at Hotel Vertigo in Dijon, and it was honestly a beautiful experience. My room was in the attic-style section, with sloped ceilings — very artistic and full of character. The interior design was unique and creative, with lovely details that made the space feel like an art gallery.

After a long travel day, I was exhausted, but the reception staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. It made a big difference. I also enjoyed the design of the Nuxe Spa — calm, stylish, and a pleasure to enjoy and relax.
Also Bar was one of the best in town, you have to try! — the hotel has a peaceful and tasteful atmosphere.

Being alone in this beautiful, artistic space, looking out the window at the historic rooftops of Dijon, was truly calming. I felt like I was living in a little dream.

Would absolutely stay again. Perfect for solo travelers, art lovers, and anyone who appreciates unique boutique design.

We arrived very early and hoped to be able to just store our baggage, instead we were upgraded and given an available room. It was incredibly thoughtful.
The room had a lovely view of Dijon and was so cute in design. We loved the quirky furniture, and really fun design choices.

The minibar selection was so unique… things we have never seen before and the little mustard gift was just wonderful!

All the room amenities were great.

The hotel itself is located perfectly between Dijon station and main centre ville.

We used the spa facility and had fantastic massages and relaxed in the cute pool… sadly they don’t seem to have the glitter balls anymore (we were disappointed).

This hotel is incredible value and a joy to stay…m we were tempted to extend our stay.

The cost on Expedia was only a total of 20 euro less than booking directly with Marriott..I would have booked directly with Marriott for my upgrade options and points if I had known. The 4 star property is pretty run down. The towels were well worn, the mirror in the bathroom I had had a giant crack at the bottom, and the shower smelled like mildew. The staff was friendly and helpful, the a/c worked, there was a Nespresso for coffee to use in the morning and the location was convenient to walk to everything central to Dijon.

I was hesitant on this stay based on recent reviews, however, everything about our stay was great! The hotel is very unique, comfortable and in a prime location. Highly recommend!

The only lift broke down and not working for at least 4 days, very difficult for people to walk 4-5 flights of stairs, especially for elderly folks and those with leg issues.

Need to vacuum clean all carpets daily- rooms and hallways!

Most hotels take an imprint of your credit card in advance for minibar usage. In this case our credit card was actually debited €100.

Shower leaked. Difficult to regulate the room temperature.

I think it was in a great location and a unique hotel.

Bedroom is modern with updated amenities, the shower has great pressure and blow dryer is fantastic, bed and linens also very comfortable.
Parking is easy and safe.
Lots of restaurants and shops and lots to do is literally around the corner.

This was a great location for visiting Dijon. It is in the heart of everything but still peaceful and quiet. The decor was cool. We liked the bar and the breakfast was nice. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very nice and allowed us to check in early. I used the pool and sauna. The pool is a little smaller than pictured but fine. The sauna was great.
