Very helpful and friendly staff. Location was convenient.
The room was nice, the lobby was clean, parking was easy, and the location was great.
One downside was that a late check-out wasn’t available, not even for 30 minutes, even when I was willing to pay, which would have made the stay even better.
Right when we came in, no one was in the front and we rang the bell twice and it took 20 minutes for someone to arrive and get us checked in. Also, it’s March in Texas and the pool is not even up and running for our boys to use. I wish we would have known that when booking.
Breakfast was good, and the location was excellent, easy access to restaurants Walmart and HEB.
I feel a few more things could be added to the breakfast menu. like potatoes, turkey bacon or turkey sausage,
It was clean, quiet, and welcoming.
Parking spaces limited, and most parking spots occupied with big trucks. Compact car spaces would be ideal for this and maybe a bigger parking lot as well.
There was some construction going on with the hotel, which I understand construction is needed for improvements with a business.
We didn’t really care for the fact that you can’t close the curtains in your room. Pretty much all hotels you can close your curtains so this was a little frustrating.
The pillows on the bed were pretty stiff too but other than that everything else was wonderful.
The location was in town easy access and we are Hilton reward members and this membership gets you discounts on stays at their hotels we live the rewards! The hotels atmosphere was nice appon ariving. On the 3rd floor our room was on the back side of the hotel were comfortable, cool and quiet. But... there was an odor of something stale in the bathroom. Not knowing what it' might be thinking it's an old hotel. We checked in 2 rooms for 2 nights. The next morning the breakfast bar was very fresh full and tasted very good. There are these plush (looking) hint on looking, high king back dinning chairs at tables and may I say they need to be repaired. There is no cushion is left in them these are upholstery. There is seating at high tables with bar chairs and low tables with smaller better chairs that are the better option for dinning there. We went out for the day. When arriving back into our room we still smell that odor coming from the bathroom. After visiting the pool area outside on the back side of the property where it is more private that is what i liked but in a winter month of February the pool had been drained understandably... it was 90 deg. that day. Texas weather you have to love it!' I noticed rhe lounging chairs were in such bad shap they should just throw them away. After arriving back to my room and showering I reached for the hair drier that was under the the sink it was soaking wet! This area was a open cabnet shelf shelf and it was soaked with an older water leak dripping from the water pipes still. That cabnet shelf would have to be replaced or you will never get that smell out of that bathroom. Well that's it the smell ! We called and reported this to the front desk and she reported it to maintenance . We were offered a new room. We want to thank the Hospitality team for always being so kind, professional and helping us with all of our questions and needs including the hotel laundry room (hiccup) LOL I had with my credit card. Gonzales is my family's home for the past 200 years. We are proud to call it the home of COME AND TAKE IT!
The location was excellent and the staff was friendly.
The beds were so hard it made it comfortable to sleep at times. Also, we needed to use the dryer and both the washer and dryer were out of order.
Very clean and comfortable stay. Despite being close to the elevator, I did not hear people coming and going. The room is a good size so you can separate work from sleep.
Everything was good, clean, and was satisfactory with the room. On check in there was no one at the front desk, had to wait, but wasn't long. The breakfast was typical of a La Quinta and was exactly what I expected. Felt safe in the hotel and the parking lot, which was well lit. Value was fair compared with others in area. Had an issue with the Wi-Fi, couldn't log in. They didn't know what to do and couldn't help. Only there one night but still an inconvenience.
