Basically just stayed in room did nothing else

I will not stay at this hotel again. The staff was great but the accommodations for parking was beyond poor!

The room was decent.

Cons:

The facility was decent although this is the second time that I have stayed here and the pool was out of order. There was no parking due to the oil field workers taking over the hotel to include illegally parking in the handicap parking. I am disabled and couldn’t find a decent parking due to the handicap parking being occupied by oil field trucks.

I like that the breakfast starts at 5am.
I like that the staff was always nice and helpful even the clerk at night.

Cons:

I like the room 102 but at night the door going out was loud and woke my doggie up the door slammed loud loud. The pool was getting some work done on it that's fine I can't swim but next time I stay I will enjoy the pool area.

Best Hotel in Gonzales Texas!

Location is great!
The Atmosphere is amazing. The staff are so friendly and professional. The rooms are amazing. You won't go wrong booking here at La Quinta in Gonzales Texas.

It was nice and relaxing just to get away for a few days.
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was really good.

Cons:

The pool was being remodeled my kids really wanted to swim and elevator was not working.

ELEVATOR WAS ALSO OUT OF SERVICE! MY ELDERY FATHER HAD A HARD TO CLIMBING THEM. APPARENTLY THE OWNER DOES NOT WANT TO INVEST IN FIXING EITHER ONE AT THE MOMENT IS WHAT I WAS TOLD! COULDN'T EVEN OFFER A DISCOUNT FOR A FURTURE RESERVATION!

4th of July Bummer
Pros:

The staff is excellent, always friendly, always smiling and accommodating. We've stayed here before but never had any issues. Upon arrival we discovered the elevator was not working, unknown repair date or time. With hubby in a wheelchair that could have been a very big problem, but we got a 1st floor room unlike the other guests who were lugging bags and babies, etc. up the stairs. The exterior door leading to the pool area opened and slammed ALL NIGHT LONG. PLEASE REPLACE THE DOOR CLOSER HOLY GOD! Which leads to the green, slimy, half tarp covered pool. Its July 4th weekend. What are you guys doing?! So disappointed.
I will be hesitant to stay again. The staff was wonderful, I dont want that to be lost in all of this. Breakfast was wonderful!

Disorganized & Smelly
Pros:

This Gonzalez location needs leadership who are detail oriented and intentional. This place was a disaster from the smelly algae ridden pool to showing up and being notified the elevator was broken and there are no first floor options. The room was sweltering when I walked in and took a long while to cool it down. The ice machine on the second floor did not work, the coffee in the lobby was full of grounds, the outside/side doors - had signs saying they should be locked but - were unlocked 24/7. The carpet and towels smelled musky. Only one of the keys I was given worked… and most of the time I had to swipe it multiple times for it to open. There was a sidewalk (which was great) all the way around, but on the back side there were no lights. There was rarely ever anyone at the front desk. When checking out they had over-charged the room and pet fee and it took ~20+ mins for them to (call someone else) to fix the problem. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience… even with knowing La Quinta Inn is more of a motel than hotel.

The front desk staff were nice but seemed like they needed direct supervision and adequate training to better support customers.

The breakfast had enough options available both mornings. However, the lobby water container was constantly empty because they picked a tiny container.

Cons:

Elevator was out of service. Room was on top floor, no assistance to help guest with luggage up 3 flights of stairs. - pool was black and out of service during summer and did not seem to have any hopes of being cleaned. - house keeping tapped on door once and was entering room immediately after at 9am when check out is at 11am. - Will not rebook this location.
