From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Pros:

Bonne literie et chambre spacieuse.

A great Gem of a hotel
Pros:

Our room was very comfortable & very large - we were on the comfort floor so we had access to a lounge for drinks and snacks which was great . The breakfast was extensive & delicious. The shops attached to the hotel were great & fun

Room was clean, neat and modern. Lift was working. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi was stable. Hot water supply was consistent. Huge bathtub, hand shower and rain shower. Comfortable bed. No noise from neighbouring rooms. Given non smoking room as requested. Location was convenient, within walking distance to Ipoh Parade (shopping centre) with lots of food and shopping around.

Cons:

Breakfast was fair in terms of quality and variety. Limited TV/movie channels. Average value for money.

It was a nice stay.
Pros:

The location is good.

Cons:

The breakfast was not as good as other hotels. However, we found that there was a big room specifically for Chinese food. No one told us until the last breakfast after we almost finished.

A wonderful stay at Weil Hotel
Pros:

Room was spacious and clean. Great variety for breakfast. Very nice hotel. The service at the front of the hotel was amazing. Open doors and luggage help.

Ok for a couple of nights
Pros:

Beds were comfortable. Rooms were clean and a good size. One of our rooms had a small window which was a bit strange.
Pool was nice
Breakfast was ok but some foods were very dry after sitting under hit lamps
For shoppers there is a mall next doir

The bar was a bit dark and cold

I’ll try other boutique, newer hotels next time. Just being honest.
Pros:

Breakfast buffet was good.
Dunno if it’s relevant but the attached mall was pretty good. Most shops were opened so that’s already a plus. Our rooms were clean. Bathroom amenities all worked.

Cons:

My room door had no magnet so we had to actually hold the heavy door open ourselves to manoeuvre my elderly mom + luggage.

Hotel parking can be waaaay better. Going up to us was alright. But exiting… you’d have to do a 3-point turn because the ramp down was at such a horrible angle. I’m absolutely sure those who have stayed there would agree with me. 100 percent.

To be frank, I don’t think it deserves the 5 stars.
The parking situation is waaay too bad to deserve that.
