Too many dogs
Pros:

Restaurant was excellent

Cons:

DOGS! Too many dogs in the hotel and even in had restaurant. Our first night there were 5 dogs in the top part of the restaurant with one aggressive dog causing a constant problem. Please be aware that the hotel is marketed as pet friendly, something we're we not informed about, if we were we would not have booked even though we have dogs, but would never dream of taking them to a hotel and especially into a dining room.
Roof need repairing, first impressions as you arrive.

Amazing location, good food and staff but the hotel didn’t live upto our expectations for the cost.
Pros:

Rooms were nice. The locations was amazing. Our evening meal was very good. And so was the breakfast. The staff were friendly. The dog was made welcome.

Cons:

Poor lounge with no bar, looked tired. The library was limited in seating. Was very expensive, paying for the location. No recognition for our special occasion.

Cons:

Etwas überteuert für die Leistung. Wenn man in einen Hotel dieser Klasse beim Frühstück noch für einiges zuzahlen darf, obwohl wir mit Frühstück gebucht hatten finde ich es etwas schade

Lovely.
Pros:

Nice, clean and spacious room. Right on the beach. Tables and chairs and small garden just outside hotel and next to the beach. Lovely, friendly and extremely helpful staff. I loved the special dog food menu and so did my dog. She really enjoyed her dinners. Food was very nice for humans too! Whole island is so peaceful. Feels like another world. I shall definitely return.

Cons:

Showing signs of wear and tear. However, I know the hospitality industry is having a hard time of things right now and I expect Karma isn’t immune to this.

Enjoyable but not quite what we expected
Pros:

The staff were great, efficient and helpful. Although a small island the transfers were appreciated, even though one way they just came to collect our bags so that we could go for a walk. The food in the restaurant was excellent, as were the cocktails. The room was clean and comfortable.

Cons:

The bedroom we stayed in and the guest lounge upstairs were both a little tired and dated, not what you would expect for a £500+ a night room (although we booked on an offer). My husband (6ft 3) also struggled to stand in the shower over the bath. I was also disappointed that for an island and place with such a focus on local goods, all the handwash and bath products were fairly generic. There was complimentary chocolate and water but everything else was extra (and priced as you would expect for a mini bar!)

Absolutely amazing and a very special place.
Pros:

Location was perfect! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Truly beautiful place with glittering sands and sea.

Cons:

More availability to hire bikes or kayaks etc from the hotel as the walk to the other quay was quite away. Also more information on what other food is available on the island and opening times.

Everything, the staff made us feel really welcome and special throughout our stay - collection and drop off of bags/us (we chose to walk) from the boats set this tone from the start. The rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts and food at the restaurant were consistently great, including the lobster caught right the other side of the window from our table!

Cons:

I can't really fault anything, food/the accommodation itself isn't cheap, but nothing is in Scilly and the experience was lovely.

Pros:

Veiws from the room were perhaps the most memorable and peaceful of anywhere I have stayed. Rugged yet beautiful and completely un sploit. Super comfy beds and good breakfast selection. Staff were alway super helpful and welcoming.

Cons:

The lounge and games area was brillant and nice touch with the record player however it was not very big. Cushions and blankets for the chairs outside would have been nice. The window didnt shut completely so had a bit of a draft and noise from the wind.

Paradiesisch
Pros:

Die wunderschöne Lage macht dieses Hotel zu einem paradiesischen Ort. Die Menschen sind freundlich und es ist komfortabel bis dass du mit Wassertaxi und Koffertransport von Anfang an Urlaub machst. Wir hatten zwei außergewöhnliche Tage in der Nachsaison.

Cons:

Vor unserem Fenster brannte in der ganzen Nacht das helle Licht des Aufenthaltsraumes. Hier wären zwei Vorhänge nötig!
