Really nice and roomy apartment. A nice substitute for a cramped hotel room. Beautiful balcony and yard
Fabulous apartment. Clean and with all required amnesties. Highly recommended
This place was nice and clean and very cozy. It was a bit dated but that didn’t bother us, was a great place for two to stay in wengen, which we loved. It is a little far and an uphill walk from the train so checking in and out with our bags was a bit rough. Also we had the ground floor so our view was obstructed by the hotel opposite us. If that’s a priority you should skip this place but we still got some views of the mountains (see pics) and we didn’t spend too much time in the apartment anyway. We loved the balcony and the main room and bedroom were nice too. We were disappointed with the lack of normal soap / body wash / conditioner (there was one shampoo bottle and nothing else) and that the tv didn’t work. Overall it was an enjoyable stay and worth the price.
We enjoyed a friendly welcome at Chalet Miravalle. The location was excellent for us, tucked away from the main street and with a pleasing view.
The standard is slightly dated, however in terms of comfort this is balanced out with outstanding cleanliness.
Only twin beds in the bedroom, we would have preferred one double bed, but in exchange each single bed was quite spacious.
The kitchen corner is well equipped and the balcony a nice extra.
The location/attractiveness of the property was great. From the outside it's a typical Alp building; the landscaping around it is beautiful.
Check in is accomplished at the neighboring Wengener Hof Hotel which is also lovely. Everyone we interacted with there was kind and helpful.
Monch 1 is the bottom left unit when looking at photos of the front of the chalet. The view probably used to be better from there, but Mother Nature has grown the trees/shrubs too high in the property across the road. It is peaceful sitting on the deck (this town is QUIET), but the view from the ground floor is limited.
It is wonderful having basically a small apartment to use rather than a hotel room. Access to laundry in the basement was perfect for 10 francs including soap. Get the power key from the hotel. The decor reminded us of '70s coloring. Perfectly acceptable for what we needed in the living/dining room area.
The bed was set up as two separate twins side/side which are very low to the ground and for us, were uncomfortable and difficult to sleep separately. We like a hard mattress, but these were (to me) like futon consistency.
Kitchen was adequately furnished it seemed-we used it for a few dishes/pitchers and were very happy to have a fridge.
The bathroom tub is high getting in/out.
Value and location were good.
Away from Main Street, quiet. Sitting on the deck in the morning, breathing in mountain air, invigorates the soul. Having your own kitchen to cook meals is not only a money saver but creates the experience of living the alpine life.
Great location. Fine accommodations
This apartment is well located and spacious with space to eat inside and out. Away from the main road with a nice but obstructed view of the glaciers. My only complaint is that the apartment smelled of food that had been cooked, likely absorbed by the carpet. I’d still recommend it but with a renovation it would be even better.
This was a great little apartment. Wish we could have stayed longer then one night. It has a kitchen, we would have been able to make our own meals which would help a ton in Switzerland. The beds were comfy, everything was clean. Note that when checking in you need to go to the hotel next door to get the key though. We didn't notice this and it took us awhile to figure that out. But other then that, it was great!
Very nice apartment in the mountain. Clean and the staff are friendly. Location is good in a small town. The only problem is the town is car free so you cant take your car to the apartment but you can take the train.
The apartment was in a great location and was very well appointed with plenty of space. I would definitely stay there again. My only complaint was that I was unaware I had to pick up the key from the neighboring hotel, so I had to call. Also, I missed the small print saying that Wengen was a car-free zone and that we needed to take a train. But, despite that, it was a really lovely location and fantastic apartment.
We booked the 3 bedroom apartment at Chalet Miravalle for 4 days and nights to explore Wengen and the surrounding Jungrau, Eiger, Mt. Schilthorn mountains and the Lauterbrunnen valley. The Hotels.com description is rather vague and does not do the Chalet justice since it does not mention that it is part of the Wengenerhof Hotel so guests can enjoy not only breakfast but dinner and the other amenities, if desired. Very spacious and comfortable apartment with two bathrooms so everyone can stretch out and enjoy the stunning views of the Jungfrau from the very large balcony. The apartment is a little dated and would enjoy a refresh at some point. Bathrooms and showers were excellent and very welcome after a long day in the mountains. The location is really wonderful, right on the edge of town, so quiet yet convenient for great restaurants, shopping and the train and cable car stations.
The view was impeccable close to town just make sure and bring your own coffee we forgot to do that it was a tough morning for us but the coop has everything you need. It's very close to the train station easy to get around extremely clean
Standard - met expectation. Not much selection during the time of our travel.
We had a wonderful stay in Wengen at Chalet Miravalle. The staff were very helpful.beautiful part of the world
Great place to stay and a great price
There was no reception or anyone to answer questions. Although the signes said they serve breakfast and dinner, the restaurant was closed. Overall condition of the challet was ok.
