The room I was given this time was in a little corner and had a bit of noise coming from another room. Not sure if it was the water heater tank

A brilliant 3 night stay at the Gonville. The welcome by Abby made us feel instantly at home, the tour in the Bentley with Mike as tour guide was as informative about Cambridge and the surrounding area as it was fun, every member of staff were friendly and helpful. First time to Cambridge and the Gonville, it won’t be the last. More than happy to recommend.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und liegt sehr zentral. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und biete eine gute Vielfalt. Die Stadtrundfahrt mit dem Bentley, der im Preis inbegriffen ist war sehr informativ und schön
Leider hatte ich ein Zimmer, dass neben einem Service Raum lag. Von Morgens 7 Uhr bis Abends 20 Uhr war ständiges Türen schlagen und umräumen zu hören.
Beautiful hotel. We upgraded the room to a feature room and could not fault it. The complimentary chocolates were to die for. We did the Bentley tour with Zane and it was a lovely experience. Great knowledge of the local areas and we saw things we would not have known about. Only negative was the service at breakfast! We had to find staff to order then the order was forgotten and they had to retake it. Items very slow to be replenished and they ran out of yoghurt! We were told afterwards staff were new, but no excuse really.
Staff were lovely and very friendly towards our dog. The location is very good.
The room was smaller than I expected, particularly the bathroom. And too hot, as the window didn’t open.
