Lovely friendly hotel
Pros:

Lovely staff who did their best to change our room for the next night. Great breakfast. Fabulous free 45 min Bentley tour of Cambridge with Mike. After changing rooms we were offered a pillow menu and had a great night's sleep in a super comfy bed.The Gonville was in an ideal location too.

Cons:

Our first night's room. The bath was too small, no shower curtain, the wardrobe had only sufficient space for a man's suit, not for long coats and dresses and the shower holder snapped off in my hand.
To be fair to the manager that evening, she said the hotel would be able to fix the shower holder the next day. She also said that she couldn't move us that evening as they were at full capacity but would do her best to move us next day. After a reminder, we were given an upgrade to a more spacious room with a bigger wardrobe, a long bath, a proper shower curtain and of course, a pillow menu. I'd be happy to go back.

Excellent but breakfast disappointing

Beautiful, clean and central

Cons:

Everything was amazing but was disappointed after the amazing stay as the breakfast was cold, such a shame if not it would have been 10/10

Great location, friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms are great with a patio which was handy.
Pros:

Room had a patio to the outside which was handy with the dog for easy access/exit instead of walking through the hotel with the dog and possibly bothering others.

Cons:

Nothing really, our stay was great.

Super dog friendly and welcoming staff.
Pros:

Comfortable bed and a lovely size room. Excellent and welcoming for our dogs. A secure back garden where we could feed and exercise them. Second time of staying. Will stay again. Thanks.

Lift out of order. Couldn't stand up straight in the shower (I'm 6'1"). Room very warm;turning thermostat down had little to no impact.
