Not in line with expectations, and therefore not good value

Cons:

As a heritage hotel, I would expect real attention to detail. The common areas could do with a serous clean, near the lifts there was significant level of dust and debris, the showers in the rooms needed a significant deep clean and frankly staff needed training and guidance on service expectations. There certainly was a willingness to do well.
I saw no senior management in the time I was there. I came away feeling that I paid a premium for what i expected would be a classy understated and premium experience, and what was delivered was below expectations.

Classy Place
Pros:

Convenient location. Comfortable room. Friendly staff. The complimentary one hour Bentley tour of the area was wonderful.

Cons:

The restaurant hours and menu were not available for our schedule.

Lovely hotel, good location.
Pros:

Location perfect, easy to walk into the city. Lovely hotel and friendly staff.

Cons:

Room was lovely (Deluxe King Room) but on the small side for the price.
Restaurant was shut on Sunday and bar snacks should have been available, but kitchen had a water leak problem so nothing was available.
The bar closed before 11pm which was a little annoying! And couldn’t get a drink even though we were residents!

Great hotel in an excellent position in the centre of Cambridge.
Pros:

Room was very quiet & the beds very comfortable.
Good variety of food for breakfast.

Cons:

Shower screen kept moving so the floor became wet.
Rooms were serviced quite late in the day.

Very disappointed. Especially for the money
Pros:

The position of the hotel is fabulous most of the staff were very friendly and helpful

Cons:

Dirty carpet. Shower was grubby tiny room and our tv didn’t work. We did raise these issues

Lovely stay
Pros:

Great service, rooms were very comfortable and large. Breakfast was lovely.

Cons:

Carpets were a bit soiled in our room a bit of a walk into town! But I think the heat didn’t help that. Parking is a bit expensive.

Poor at best.

Booking in no staff on a small reception, waited 15 mins to be told room was not ready,
Came back told bag is in your room, no I had go back down to get my own bag,
Two/1 members of staff serving at the bar 10 people waiting, bar food very good…
Went out came back 2 bar staff 12 people waiting, bar announced last orders at 11pm. Lady in reception arrived nobody to book her in, we paid 200 plus very poor staff. You can see why premier inn dose so well.
