Comfortable easy quiet stay in convenient location
Pros:

Breakfast was great, classic hotel waffles but I was surprised with the biscuits and juice options. Location is fantastic to walk to everything in the main Springfield area, including the Lincoln Museum, and the Dana Thomas House, and the Robin Roberts Stadium. We were on the first floor super close to the lobby but it was super quiet. Probably just a benefit of the type of people likely to be visiting Springfield aren't the rowdy late night crew. It was nice staying at a hotel not owned by a chain I thought it was pleasant. Didn't use the fitness center but it looked perfectly decent for the size of the hotel. And they were finishing up some upgrades and cleaning to the rooms the weekend we were there. Also the shampoo they had was good. I found the beds very comfortable

Cons:

It was musty in the room but that's not the kind of thing that bothers me. And I believe they were going to be cleaning the air conditioners that week

Pros:

The front desk personnel were very sweet and helpful. The breakfast was great.

Cons:

Our bathtub drain in room 202 was super slow...like pretty much it didn't drain. Aside from that the room was perfect.

This place is in need of upgrades. The smell made me concerned about the cleanliness and it made it hard to relax.
Pros:

The staff was nice at check in.

Cons:

The first room they gave me smelled horrible. They did move me to a different room which was better, but they didn’t seem happy about it.

At checkout, they never asked how things were. I left before the free breakfast because the ambiance and smell made me lose my appetite.

The location to the Illinois State Fairgrounds was ideal. Check in was quick & efficient. Ice machine and vending machine on our floor.

Very nice stay.
Pros:

Very good breakfast. Clean, comfortable room. Great location for visiting the Lincoln presidential museum and historic sites... Friendly staff.

I will have a hard time waying if I want to come back.
Pros:

I like the location of the hotel. I have stayed here before and really like the location.

Cons:

The internet and tv did not work in our room. When I asked about it I was told that there was a worldwide outage. Fun family members didn't mention that when I talked to them. And it happened both nights of our stay. I was having a foot issue and I was very tired and didn't want to deal with it so I didn't follow up with the problem at the moment. Just didn't like being lied to twice by the same person at the desk over the same issue.

Pretty ok
Pros:

Room was clean and staff was very friendly when you could find them .

Cons:

Shower stayed scalding hot with no cold option, curtain curved in so no room even if temp was fixed and wood blocks held A/C up.
