Excellent stay, disappointing aftermath

I genuinely do not know how to rate this stay overall.

The hotel itself, the service during my stay, and the breakfast were excellent. That is why it is all the more disappointing that what happened afterwards has left me with serious doubts.

During my stay, EUR 100 was placed on hold on my credit card as a deposit for possible minibar or additional charges. I was informed about this.

Later, however, an additional hold of EUR 42 appeared on my card. At no point was I informed about this additional hold, nor was I given any explanation as to what it was for.
After checking out, I noticed the additional hold and contacted the hotel by phone. At first, the receptionist told me that she could not see any EUR 42 hold. I firmly explained that I was looking at it in my banking app and that the amount was clearly blocked on my card. Only after checking again did she acknowledge that the hold was indeed there. She was still unable to explain why it had been placed.
I then contacted the hotel in writing and asked for an explanation, but I did not receive a response.

My concern is not that hotels may require deposits or place amounts on hold for possible additional charges. That is understandable. What I find problematic is the lack of transparency surrounding this additional EUR 42 hold and the fact that the hotel was unable to explain it.

From a hotel of this category, I would expect clear information about card holds and a competent response when a guest raises such a concern.

Precisely because the stay itself was very pleasant, I find it particularly unfortunate that this issue changed my final impression so significantly. In the end, the final impression matters a great deal, and unfortunately the way this matter was handled substantially lowered my overall rating of the hotel.

Very good hotel
Pros:

Titianic Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin is excellent hotel. Everything was perfect .
To start with location is close to all attractions.
The hotel itself is very nice it is true 5 stars hotel.
The staff are very helpful and polite.
The breakfast was one of the best breakfast among most of the hotel In Europe.
Thank you very much to all the staff at Titanic hotel.

Es lohnt sich auf alle Fälle
Pros:

Sehr gute Kommunikation durch das Hotel bei Fragen oder Dingen die zu klären sind. Sind auf alle Wünsche eingegangen. Tolle Kosmetik im Bad. Super bequeme Betten. Abendessen bei HP als Gänge-Menü und sehr lecker.

Cons:

Frühstück zur Stoßzeit sehr voll gewesen, Personal war bemüht aber der Raum hatte seine Grenzen.
Einzig negativ war, dass die frische Waffeln und Pancakes nicht nachgelegt worden sind, erst auf Nachfrage aber dann umgehend.

Zentral gelegen, bequem u ruhig geschlafen
Pros:

Das Personal, besonders im Bereich der Restauration, war extrem aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und top aufgeräumt. Die Lage war excellent für einen kulturellen Urlaub. Die großen Betten waren super bequem und die Zimmer sehr leise. Freies Mineralwasser auf dem Zimmer.

Cons:

Die Speisen im Hoteleigenen Restaurant war sehr hochpreisig. Ein paar mehr Kleinigkeiten auf der Karte wäre schön. Ich, als Milch- und Ei - Allergiker hätte mir etwas mehr Auswahl beim Frühstück gewünscht, als NUR Hafermilch. Sojajoghurt oder etwas Pflanzenaufstriche, wären schön gewesen. Hier war die Ausrichtung sehr „Glutenfrei“.

Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!
Pros:

Unser Aufenthalt im TITANIC Gendarmenmarkt Berlin war hervorragend. Wir können dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Vom freundlichen Empfang an der Rezeption über die wunderschöne Lobby bis hin zu den tollen, stilvollen Zimmern hat einfach alles gepasst.

Ein besonderes Highlight war der wunderschöne Hamam, in dem wir wunderbar entspannen konnten. Ein echtes Juwel mitten in Berlin!

Bei unserer nächsten Reise nach Berlin werden wir ganz sicher wieder hier übernachten. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!

Hotel bem localizado e quarto bom!

Cons:

Apesar de pedir a limpeza do quarto, a mesma não foi feita. Quando pedi para pelo menos trocarem as toalhas, recebi 4 roupões e nenhuma toalha! O atendimento no restaurante também deixou muito a desejar.

Zu teuer für den Preis!
Pros:

Lage ist gut mitten in Mitte gelegen. Vondaher wirklich gut, was aber auch den Preis ausmacht. gutes Frühstück aber nicht herausragend

Cons:

SAUBERKEIT! Das hat man aus allen Zimmern gehört, wir waren 15 Personen. Das geht gar nicht für diesen Preis. Zudem sind Möbel und Gegenstände abgeranzt, Farbe geht ab, Wände nicht frisch. Ich hatte zwar ein extrem ruhiges Zimmer nach wunsch, aber dafür mit Blick auf eine Betonwand in 10m Abstand. Naja.
