Holiday Inn Express and Suites Madison Central by IHG

We had a very nice stay for the weekend. Room was comfortable and clean. Ms. Olson at the front desk was super helpful and friendly.

Amy, the manager, and front desk staff members Angelleigh and Alex were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. My husband loved the salt water pool! The happy hour and the breakfast were both delicious. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Madison area!

Wonderful hotel in a great location. Staff was Amazing especially ashley and Alex at front desk. they were very helpful and answered all my questions. Rooms were clean and quiet and breakfast is always good at Holiday Inn Express. Close to everything in Madison area. Thanks and I will be back.

Breakfast buffet was very good! We were delighted we could get a shuttle to get to a restaurant and back! This hotel was recommended by a friend who has chaperoned high school wrestling teams to tournaments and stayed with you.

They treat us so nice,friendly, very accommodateing.

Desk personnel was so friendly and helpful.

Nicely appointed modern hotel/motel. Very easy access from I 90. ATM and several work stations available in lobby. 24 hour coffee/tea availabile. Vending area in lobby. Ample parking. Pool, meeting room. 2 bed-rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, and have both soft and firm pillows. Lots of places to charge your electronic devices. Very clean. Microwave and fridge. Nice bathroom with no-fog mirror. Fluffy towels, and Dove lotion, hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Breakfast served weekdays 6:00 - 9:30. Buffet includes a variety of juices, freshly brewed coffee (regular or decaf), tea. Also cold cereals. Oatmeal and selection of toppings, scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, pork and turkey sausage, fresh make-your-own pancakes, pastries, bagels, make your own toast, apples. Everything was fresh, and staff member checked offerings often. Surfaces were cleaned frequently.

I really appreciated the variety of breakfast options, and I liked that they change the selection daily. I also super appreciate the complimentary tea and coffee! The small convenience shop in the lobby is also very handy for grabbing a snack. It would be even better if there were a microwave available in the lobby for guests to use. I spent about two hours there after checking out waiting for a friend, and it would have been nice to heat up some food.

I also enjoyed the lobby area itself. The business center with printers and computers is a thoughtful touch (even though I didn’t need them, it was reassuring to have them available). I spent some time studying in the lobby, and having power outlets available for charging my laptop made it very convenient.

As for the hotel room, I liked that it was spacious, very clean, and well-equipped (hair dryer, iron, microwave, fridge, many storage spaces, etc). The water pressure was excellent, and the amenities were of high quality. I also really appreciate that the shampoo and conditioner are separate, and that there’s body lotion conveniently placed near the sink (little things that made my stay more enjoyable).

One of the nicer Holiday Inn Express properties that I’ve stayed at. Up-to-date facilities and courteous staff. The first night we were there they offered an evening reception with beer/wine and hors d’oeuvres, which is fairly unusual for a HIE. The room was generally clean, although there were some marks on the walls of the bathroom (near the light switch and garbage can) that looked like they could come off with a little scrubbing. There is a relatively busy road on the front side of the hotel and a train track on the back side. We stayed on the backside but heard only 1 slow moving train each night. It really didn’t disrupt our stay. Breakfast was standard HIE fare, with hot oatmeal, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, along with breads, cereals, etc.. There is a self-service coffee maker in the lobby where you can make coffee 24/7. They offer to-go bags with a granola bar, apple and water if you have to leave before breakfast is served (6 am on weekdays). They offer a free shuttle within a 3-mile radius of the hotel, but we didn’t use it. The hotel is in a great location, not too far from downtown but far enough that they don’t charge for parking!

Everyone was so kind and helpful! Amy the manager is so sweet and helped with anything I needed. The shuttle drivers were great and Alex recommended some amazing food places for me!
