Quiet room, great shower, lovely breakfast, perfect location for the tube/shuttle, quiet part of the city.

Cons:

Couldn't figure out the air-conditioning, faint smell of cigarettes in bathroom, a bit weird that I was allocated a room for disabled guests.

Great Stay at this Hotel
Pros:

I would recommend a stay the Holiday Inn Express London Excel. Location is right near the railway station to give you access to London or getting out of the city. The staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is so inviting. The restaurant staff Vira, Cynthia, Aminata and Lebechi where so helpful during our 9 day visit. Rooms are air-conditioned and are serviced everyday and they pride themselves on keeping your room clean and tidy. This hotel is directly across from London Airport, but we could not hear any aircraft landing or taking off. We feel that we got good value for money. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a good mix of hot and cold breakfast which was included in the room price. Dinner menu is good and bar is open 24/7 as well as a limited menu from the restaurant for late check in clients, so you can get something to eat at anytime. Car parking will cost you £20 per day. I think this should be included in the price of the room.

Great stay for a great price
Pros:

Really nice room, clean, decent size and a comfy bed. Importantly strong working aircon! Window gives a lot of shelter against outside noise, planes can be a bit loud but managed to sleep through a massive thunderstorm!

Breakfast was standard buffet options and was hot and tasty.

Location was really easy to get to. Under 5min walk to Royal Albert DLR and travel to the O2 or Excel is pretty quick and straightforward. Also only a couple stops from an Elizabeth Line connection, ideal for getting into London.

Price was very competitive with other hotels in the area and checkin an hour earlier than a lot of others at 2pm

Cons:

Lifts were a bit smelly and outside the rooms was very stuffy but only minor issues I can flag.

Not the hotels fault but I couldn't see any nearby shops so you have to get anything for the room elsewhere.

Amazing location, Staff were absolutely amazing! Sammy is a credit to your team, he was so friendly and welcoming. He made our stay even more special! There was also another women that belled check us in, I can’t remember her name :(

The comfy large bed. Staff’s are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean.

Cons:

The windows cannot be opened, I suffers from claustrophobia and I had to come out the building for some fresh air in the middle of the night.
