A lovelt relaxing stay!
Pros:

The view was spectacular, the opulence was mesmerising and the staff could not do enough to help you!!! Very comfy beds.

Cons:

The pool was constantly windy, the fridge door didn't close, and at times, the "classiness" of the place felt imposing.

Perfect!
Pros:

There is nothing not to like about this beautiful hotel. As it was a special occasion, the staff went above our expectations. There were even rose petals in the bathtub!
The location is perfect and close to all the attractions. The view from our room was amazing. The bed was very comfortable, the room and bathroom were spacious and clean and the turn down service was a great bonus.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The Reverie hotel 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Pros:

The Reverie is genuinely stunning at first glance. The lobby alone is worth the stay — a cascade of colorful blown-glass flower sculptures mixed with crystal teardrop pendants overhead, set against dark wood paneling with gold and mother-of-pearl inlay. Deeper into the property, a soaring atrium opens up with a spiral crystal chandelier, floor-to-ceiling mosaic panels bursting with painted florals, and a antique malachite-and-gold clock as the centerpiece — genuinely feels like a small European palace. There was even a live pianist in a gown playing grand piano near the spa entrance in the afternoon, which added a nice touch of old-world elegance.

The restaurant level continues the theme — sweeping marble staircases, mirrored columns, jewel-toned mosaic pillars in deep red and silver, and an Art Deco-inspired ceiling. Even the guest corridors are dressed up, with book-matched marble flooring, gold-framed mirrors, and crystal chandeliers lining the halls. It’s opulent in a way that photos almost undersell.

Service (mostly): Bell service was excellent from the moment we arrived, and breakfast service matched that energy — attentive without being intrusive. If breakfast isn’t included in your room rate, the à la carte buffet runs 988k, and the menu selection is extensive. Housekeeping was adequate — nothing to complain about, nothing that wowed either. Front desk deserves a specific mention: genuinely “your wish is our command” energy, the kind of anticipatory service you want from a 5-star property. My son actually preferred the Reverie over Park Hyatt overall, which says a lot.

Where it fell short — Long restaurant: The Margherita pizza came out soggy, and outdoor dining service was noticeably bland and, at points, rude. I asked staff for an ice pack — I’d just had PRP done on my right elbow and it was swollen, plus I was trying to keep some Japanese chocolate I’d brought back from melting. First server said they’d check and never followed up. When I asked a second time, someone who seemed to be a manager responded irritably that they simply didn’t have one. That response was the issue, not the lack of an ice pack itself — even a simple “you could grab one at Family Mart nearby” would’ve landed completely differently. For a hotel at this level, that kind of dismissiveness stood out.

The bartender situation: I ordered a tamarind Amaretto sour, since Park Hyatt’s version was the best I’ve had in Vietnam. The bartender flatly said they didn’t have it — no attempt to suggest an alternative or engage. Another bartender stepped in and offered to make a regular Amaretto sour instead, which turned out disappointing. Communication and craft both fell short here, which was a letdown given how strong the visual and front-desk experience was.

Reverie vs. Park Hyatt: Here’s the deciding factor for me — the Reverie actually has a bidet in the bathroom, something Park Hyatt (despite being a supposed top-5 luxury property) surprisingly lacks. On top of that, the Reverie comes in $50 cheaper ($663 vs. $612 for 2 nights) 😂😂. Between the two, I’d choose the Reverie every time, and just walk over to Lam Son Bar for that tamarind Amaretto sour, then to the Continental Hotel for hủ tiếu cá — best of both worlds without paying Park Hyatt’s premium.

Bottom line: The Reverie nails the visual wow-factor — this might be the most extravagantly decorated lobby I’ve seen in Saigon — and the front desk warmth backs it up. But Long restaurant’s food and bar service, plus one genuinely rude interaction, kept this from being a flawless stay. 4/5.

Outstanding!
Pros:

I cannot express how amazing this hotel and the team members are. I was taken care of so well and they remembered my name each day at breakfast. It was immaculate and had all the bells and whistles. There was nothing more I could have wanted or needed, everything plus some was available.
