The Reverie Saigon

This hotel is all show. They have a very bad problem with damp due to humidity. The smell is all consuming in there

We stayed at the beautiful Reverie Saigon as part of our Mekong cruisetour with Avalon Waterways. The hotel was 5-start to say the leaset. The rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed. We loved the walk throuch closet area and the heated seat bidets (the US could learn from the hotels in Vietnam). We agreed with others in our group that said this was one of the nicest and She-Shest hotels we had ever stayed in.

The included breakfast buffet had wonderful choices from Asian to Us and European. There was something for just about everyone.

The hotel was in a wonderful location within waling distance of great restaurants, a Pharmacy (yes I caught a cold), shops and more. The staff were gracious and helpful in providing directions.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to travel in style and feel pampered.

Incredible service and attentive staff. The gym and pool were both nice and much appreciated on a long business trip.

Great location, comfortable bed , friendly staff

This is a beautiful hotel - the decor is over the top, and if that’s your style, you’ll love the design. I found it fun to look at. Staff is very nice, the breakfast offers a large variety, the room was comfortable, we had an incredible view from our window, and I appreciated the free mini bar items that were regularly restocked. There were also some nice turn down gifts and everything seemed very clean. It’s also well located for top sights in the city.

I echo other reviews that there are two problems, which could be major or minor depending on how you feel. There is a musty smell to the room and everything feels damp after a while - shoes, paper, sheets, etc. Despite trying to fix with the AC, we weren’t able to do so. There is also a loud party outside every night. Our room was at the top of the building and we could hear it clearly. I bring a sound machine when we travel and my husband sleeps with earplugs so it didn’t bother us much, but it may bother other guests who are unprepared for the noise. The breakfast service also depends on how busy the hotel is. One morning I had to wait 20 minutes for coffee, and another morning it was less than 5 minutes. Not a big deal, but something to note.

The buffet and beds were so comfortable

From the moment you walk in to the lobby of this resort, you realize you’re in someplace special.

Just like the Mandarin Oriental in Las Vegas, the lobby is on an elevated floor away from the hustle and bustle of the street level.

The rooms are extremely spacious with abundant closet. So we the bathrooms are opulent, and the views are spectacular. !

What a magnificent hotel. Accommodations were incredible and the service was impeccable. Location couldn’t be beat. You really have to see this place to believe it!

An exceptional stay at The Reverie Saigon. The attention to detail, stunning interiors, and world-class service truly stand out. Every moment felt luxurious, from the beautifully designed rooms to the incredible city views. The staff were warm, attentive, and made the experience seamless. Easily one of the most memorable hotel stays.

The hotel is decorated nicely and the staff try really hard, but the location at night is unreal and not in a good way. The loud music that plays until unknown hours has a bass, piano, and other instruments that can be heard above the 20th floor. I've never stayed in a 5 star hotel that was this loud. Additionally, our room smelled of mildew or mold and not sure where the source was. The bathroom grout could be alot cleaner as well. The dehumidifier I requested filled in a half a day and when emptied it had scum in the resevoir as though it had not been cleaned in a while. The nice touches were the beverage bar that was refilled each day, the welcome note from the manager and fresh fruit. We also had a washer and dryer in the unit. The cafe on site had very nice coffees and desserts. But you come to hotel for rest in a clean enviornement and this was not delivered despite the high price tag. The 2 rating reflects a "Poor" room experience that was barely rescued from a 1 by excellent hospitality overall.
