Clean, quiet and close to restaurants etc. Room was well equipped.
Location fantastic. Room was clean and well-supplied. Lift to second floor room was welcome.
We weren't informed upon booking nor at check-in that the in-house restaurant had been booked for a private function. It was pure luck that when I phoned to ask for a booking, we found out about this.
Location in CBD is excellent. Close to cafes and shops.

Bâtisse style victorien, ancienne école transformée en hôtel.

Grandes chambres avec belle hauteur sous plafond.
L'accueil de la réception est très aléatoire selon la personne sur laquelle vous tombez.
La vue sur le parking et la vue sur la rue ne sont pas terribles.
Chambre froide avec chauffage non fonctionnel et réception fermée après 20h (!).
Fenêtres datant de l'époque victorienne, avec l'air qui passe à travers.
Absence de stores occultant.
Lit ridiculement petit (1m50) alors que la taille de la chambre était généreuse.
L'éclairage de la chambre : difficile de faire pire-lumière blanche et aveugle, ambiance hôpital.
Grille de ventilation de la salle de bain très sale et ventilation extrêmement bruyante, style avions au décollage... .
Climatisation située juste au dessus du lit, grille manquante.
Décoration : n'en parlons pas....
Location excellent, with off street parking. Check in easy . Friendly staff showed us to the building (our room in a 2 storey building behind the heritage building) . Lift broken so had to carry up luggage to first floor. We were ok with this (we modified what we would normally take to a room).
The room da no ventilation. Windows were screwed shut and handles removed. The ceiling looked like the building may have had centralised mechanical HVAC in the past, but all ceiling vents boarded over. A split system AC was installed but these only heat or cool recirculated air. The only way we could get a little fresh air was to leave tho bathroom vent (and light) on all night, which drew in a little air through cracks under the main door. When i attempted to raise the issue with the manager on checking our, he assured me that the rooms met sll government requirements, and when i attempted to explain patiently that they didn’t meet ventilation requirements, he told me he didn’t want to hear about it and told me ti leave. Mistakes can be made and things overlooked - but rudeness at attempts to help point out a maintenance and compliance and health issues doesn’t help solve issues
Rooms are so clean and the property also has a beautiful bar, restaurant and bar The staff are very polite and professional The manager made sure all guests where happy during our stay
