SO AWFUL. AVOID AVOID.
Pros:

What a disappointment. Total waste of 9k.
Check in ladies are fine. Our room was a million miles from the elevator. Check your mini bar items immediately. We had a have eaten box of chocolates. Had i not checked right away we would be on the hook. Housekeeping is the weakest link. Came into our room to find that Housekeeping had placed a bag of garbage and rags on top of my open suitcase. Absolutely horrific. I felt to violated. Such disrespect for guests belongings. I always suspected Housekeeping did unsanitary things while guests not present. This hotel is packed with people NOT STAYING. it's an absolute circus. Mostly middle eastern. Don't think a single person working there is British. Do not recommend at all. Shame on you Dorchester Hotel for a horrible experience. You did not care one bit about our experience.

Pros:

We had an amazing afternoon tea here, the service was attentive without being intrusive, the waiter was knowledgeable about what he was serving and his interaction made the experience more special
The food was a delight and the surrounding a little oasis in a hectic London

7 Stars! From Me!
Pros:

Exceptional from start to finish. Absolutely 5 stars, exceeded all expectations. We visited to celebrate my wife’s 40th Birthday and were upgraded to the suite which is phenomenal. The breakfast was outstanding and the service received from everyone we spoke to was fantastic. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Afternoon Tea at the Dorchester with Sir. Anuar Hamid (always ask for Anuar he's the best the Dorchester have to offer)
Pros:

We had afternoon tea with our daughter and my in laws during our annual Christmas trip to London! It was spectacular as usual and the service by Anuar was the highlight as usual! We look forward to going back to see Anuar and the Dorchetser again on our visits next year!

Mixed feelings
Pros:

I am an old Dorchester client, having stayed there for the last 12 or 15 years, sometimes several times a year.
Doormen and promenade personal know me and my family by name and many people at the reception as well.
I stayed recently for 9 nights and while I cannot praise housekeeping, in room dining and especially breakfast highly enough, I would like to mention some less agreeable interaction with reception people, who lacked sometimes the tact of handling minor problems.
My room did not have a mirror and this did not bother me until New Year’s Eve. I talked about it to the reception on Jan 1st and while an apology and a smile would have made me happy they just insisted that the room had a mirror and I did not find it. I called them later and told them my room did not have a mirror and they offered to get me one, I was already pissed by their attitude and did not accept.
Small detail, I know, but for a hotel that I stay since so long, and a hotel that caters so well to its clients, very unusual.
I still love the hotel very much and intend to come back, but I fear the hotel is loosing something. Hopefully I am wrong.

Great Location and Helpful Front Desk
Pros:

We had a very nice stay at the Dorchester Hotel. We flew overnight from Boston and arrived early in the morning and dropped our luggage off and went for Wolesley’s for breakfast. Our room was available early but it was on the 2nd floor and had a tub/shower that was very difficult to navigate. We used Amex Fine Hotels to book our room and this wasn’t an upgrade but I think they tried to accommodate our early arrival.

However, the next day I asked for a room change to a room with a walk-in shower and the front desk was very understanding and accommodated our request. The 5th floor room looking out over looking Park Lane and Winter Wonderland was beautiful. The room was beautifully appointed but there was some minor brick or roof repairs occurring but it started late in the morning.

We had breakfast in our room twice and in the Grille restaurant. The food was very good and we had drinks at the Vesper Bar.

Overall, a nice experience and the front desk was very helpful and accommodating.

December stay
Pros:

The rooms are undeniably beautiful—spacious, polished, and very comfortable, exactly what you’d expect at this level. Unfortunately, the overall environment feels stiff and a bit snobby. The atmosphere lacks warmth or inspiration, making the experience feel more performative than genuinely welcoming.

Housekeeping does the unsanitary things we all worry about...
Pros:

Front desk girls are lovely. Breakfast fantastic. ANUAR IS A HERO.
The big problem is housekeeping. Came back from Breakfast. Sign on door housekeeping is inside. Go in . No housekeeping but a bag of rags and garbage sitting on my open suitcase. WTF. A bag of dirty rags and garbage placed on top of Hermès scarf and cashmere sweaters. No respect for guest belongs. My fear on housekeeping doing unsanitary things has come true. I had left 5 pounds on the bed for this person and this was the thanks received.

Festive Set Menu for Lunch at The Grill
Pros:

Went to The Grill for the festive set lunch menu. Firstly, I think it was comparatively, one of the better valued set menus for similar hotels this year. The hotel was decorated lovely, the afternoon tea space looked amazing. Service was very good. My main came served without any vegetables and it was quickly resolved, our dessert order got lost and there was quite a wait but that didnt ruin our experience. Water was topped up frequently which sounds like a small thing, but I drink so much of it that I appreciated not having to keep asking for refills! We had to take the mini mince pies home as we were so full, they were placed in a tin tray in a comically large box and smashed to pieces by the time we were home, which made us laugh, perhaps we were the only people asking to take them home 😆. Aside from the couple of little slip ups as mentioned, we had a very nice time.

a birthday stay i will never forget!
Pros:

From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. A gorgeous flower bouquet my partner had arranged was waiting for me on arrival. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, and a member of the guest relations team personally came to greet us : a small detail that truly makes a difference.

Our room (531) was perfect, with an extremely comfortable bed and a beautiful bathroom. What really sets this hotel apart, however, is the outstanding level of service. Every member of staff went above and beyond throughout our stay.

Turndown service was flawless, with thoughtful touches, bathroom amenities used were all the time refilled, no need to ask for anything. Breakfast at The Promenade was outstanding, with excellent food quality and a great selection of eggs. I particularly loved the matcha on the menu, which was prepared perfectly : better than in many other 5-star hotels.

The concierge team was exceptional, assisting my partner with multiple reservations, flower arrangements, and recommendations. Late one evening, I thought I had left my camera at a restaurant, and the concierge did everything possible to help locate it.

If you’re staying on a Sunday, you must try the Sunday roast at The Grill. If you’re lucky, it will be served by Joy, whose service made me feel incredibly special on my birthday & at breakfast the other mornings.

We also enjoyed massages at the spa, with both therapists being excellent. Guests also have access to the spa at 45 Park Lane, which is absolutely breathtaking we visited on a Sunday and had it entirely to ourselves. A special thank you to Jean for her wonderful service.

From the beautiful Christmas decorations straight out of a movie to the kind doorman who assisted us on departure, every detail was perfect. Thank you to the entire Dorchester team for making my birthday unforgettable. We can’t wait to be back!

A magical experience
Pros:

Our 2 night stay at The Dorchester was perfection. Our suite (The Mayfair Suite) was absolutely exquisite, it was hard to leave! The staff of the hotel was so wonderful, friendly and helpful. The decor for the holidays was really gorgeous and our food and drink experiences were excellent. The Vesper bar was especially cool (and the scene where Ian Fleeming signed his contract for the Bond films). The opportunity to stay at this iconic, grand hotel was truly magical and we hope to return in the future. We received our stay as part of a larger trip and I am not sure if the Mayfair Suite will ever be possible again, but our stay there was a holiday experience we will never forget.

Christmas city break
Pros:

Me and my husband decided to spend 2 nights in London to experience Christmas festivities. This was our first time at The Dorchester. It's such a beautiful hotel. Our room (believe we got an upgrade) was beautifully decorated. It was a good size to. The bathroom was lovely and had underfloor heating. The room was immaculate. I had made requests when booking the room such as to have a bath and a bible in the room which were adhered to. On check in we were asked if we wanted our luggage brought to our room, unfortunately it took them 4 hours and phone calls from me to chase before it arrived in our room. We did receive an apology from a senior staff member and given dining credit. This was really the only poor service we received. The staff during our stay were friendly, always greeting you in the corridor. We didn't receive a turndown service one night. The cleaner also broke my hair product bottle and didn't advise us so no apology given. At checkout we we given some reimbursement. We had room service which arrived in good time and was good. I think compared to other 5 star hotels we've stayed in it's a bit more expensive. We both slept really well and melted into the bed. Just my personal preference but I would of preferred an inner sheet rather than just a duvet. We could hear some noise but nothing significant. We would recommend the hotel and would stay again. It's well located. It was lovely coming this time of year and seeing it decorated for Christmas. Thank you to everyone at The Dorchester for a lovely stay.

Afternoon Tea
Pros:

My aunts, my mum and I came for our annual festive afternoon tea and had a lovely afternoon. The patisserie and sandwiches were excellent as always, especially the tropical tart and the gingerbread ice cream sandwich, and our waiter, Anwar, was so kind, fun and friendly. He really made our visit one to remember and took such great care of us. We look forward to coming back.

Afternoon tea
Pros:

We had the best afternoon tea experience especially thanks to Anuar, you really made us laugh and enjoy it even more.

The food and service was lovely. Only thing that could be better is when I went to desk to say I have afternoon booked they sat us waiting and forgot about us. This could be improved. Thanks to as air and rest of staff that made up for it

Opulent decor but reasonable prices.
Pros:

The Dorchester exudes opulence, grandeur and impeccable style. It radiates an ambience that is very warm and welcoming and you feel immediately comfortable as you walk into the beautiful foyer. Entering the Promenade Dining Room epitomises luxury and taste. The furnishings are truly gorgeous and with the beautiful piano music in the background makes for a wonderful atmosphere. The food is delicious and promptly served by professional staff who are polished, friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. It's simply a delightful venue for any occasion.

Dreams do come true!
Pros:

This trip was perfect, an absolutely magical experience. This isn't just a hotel, it's an experience and one that we are very grateful for!

The welcome was exceptional - we instantly felt happy and relaxed from the greetings of the Concierge team and this set the tone of the entire experience. The suite and view was simply breathtaking - stunningly beautiful but also incredibly well designed with everything you could possibly need. There are no words to express how perfect it was, nothing could ever compare. Needless to say, it was also spotless and had all of the amenities you'd expect and far more!

The entire staff were incredible, carrying themselves with exceptional elegance, grace and professionalism at at all times. The service provided is an example of true luxury in the hotel industry and we simply couldn't have asked for anything more.

We should highlight the attentiveness of Miguel (who assisted us throughout our stay) - he was absolutely fantastic and his clear passion for the hotel was wonderful, full of enthusiasm and interesting facts.

To stay here was a dream come true and we are already looking forward to having the opportunity to return to this very special hotel.
