Cons:

Have a disability and was on the 3rd floor in the attic!!!!! Bathroom. On second floor!!!! No staff, no help! Will never stay again

Nice, clean, comfortable place for my short stay in Friday Harbor. Would book it again.
Pros:

Wasn't aware that a breakfast was provided.

Cons:

More control of heating/cooling. Room just a little too warm at night, even with the overhead fan. Two bedside lights OK at night and for mood, but a brighter overhead light would be nice, if doing any work in the room. There may have been a light in the fan unit, but couldn't figure out how to turn it on.

We enjoyed the town and the island and being able to walk to bars and restaurants yet the overnight noise was too much

It was super noisy overnight with trucks and cars coming off the early ferry and the 3 am watering of flowers with flashing lights as well

We would stay there again!
Pros:

The location and rooms were great! Clean, comfortable, and good location.

Cons:

The bed was a little uncomfortable. There wasn’t a proper bathroom sink. We had a bar sink in the sitting area.

Great location, very clean

Cons:

The pull-out bed was pretty bad. Not supportive and not flat when laid on. Pretty disappointing for such an expensive hotel. Everything else was good, but that was very lackluster

Perfect respite after kayaking and camping
Pros:

Perfect location 2 minutes from ferry. Lovely, clean, comfortable rooms. Luxe bedding, towels, and bath products. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the shared balcony and the in-room keurig coffee.

Disappointing, overpriced, no window
Pros:

Great location

Cons:

There are a LOT of ppl sharing the hallway bathrooms. Room has no window, only a door to shared patio, so it’s very stuffy. I can hear three phone conversations from inside other rooms bc they are very close together. (Not the hotel’s fault, just rude/loud guests.) Feels overpriced for a tiny room without a private bath or even a window. The room doesn’t look like the photos. Choose your room carefully.

Too hot
Pros:

The location was good. It was nice having a balcony.

Cons:

The rooms have no air-conditioning and you wouldn’t think you would need it, but it was really hot. And there’s no door screen on the door not that you’d wanna sleep with the door open but better than not sleeping at all. We were lucky we at least had a window in our room. The people next to us only had the door. Everyone was really cranky because we didn’t sleep. It was very long day.

Nettes, historisches Hotel in zentraler Lage.
Lobby zum Frühstück essen geeignet mit Kaffee, Tee, Geschirr, Kühlschrank etc.
Schöne und saubere Gemeinschaft Bäder

Cons:

Wenig Platz im Zimmer um die Koffer abzustellen, keine Ablagen.
Toiletten im Gemeinschaftsbad gelegentlich verstopft
Checkin Information nur über SMS was bei ausländischen Telefonnummern nicht gut funktioniert

Pros:

Having stayed at Bird Rock and Earthbox I'd choose Earthbox for my next visit to Friday Harbor.
Both properties are well decorated and maintained but, despite Bird Rock's convenience, for those who are walking from the ferry, Earthbox has the advantage of being a quiet location who's rooms ( or at least my room ) have sleeping areas that are not flooded with light ( during typical sleeping hours).
The staff are very helpful and welcoming.
