Great staff and location but very small room with no windows.

The staff and the location were great.

Cons:

The room was very small and had no windows so it felt very claustrophobic. It was quite expensive for how tiny the room was.

Great location
Pros:

Great location steps from downtown. The man at desk very friendly even went outside to show us where the bus stops were.

Cons:

Our room was in corner next to street too close to traffic and noise. Worried about a car crashing into our room. Hotel not connected to casino as portrayed on website. Breakfast was very minimal with wrapped pastries. Pancake machine was broken. Parking is two blocks away.

Many better options in deadwood.
Pros:

The location is very good.

Cons:

Front desk person was like a robot programmed with a speech. No greeting at all just business even when I tried to tell him we didn't need the parking and driving information he continued on and on like I wasn't even there. Cleanliness of the room was not awful but just dusty and not great. Bed was good enough but pillows definitely needed replaced.

The location

Cons:

For staying at a hotel that has a steakhouse attached, or associated with it, you get no benefits for staying there unless you pay extra. The room was already a lot. I stay at a different hotel in Deadwood and get a lot of benefits for staying at their hotel. It is like the Hotel By Gold Dust dosen't careful you stay or not. Doubt I will stay there again.
