I won’t stay there again especially for that price.
Pros:

Only liked the proximity to everything/central location, but it’s Deadwood, you can walk pretty much anywhere.

Cons:

Staff, room quality, cleanliness all lacking! Front desk staff couldn’t care about guests, just there to get you checked in. Room was tiny and very dirty, hair everywhere in the bathroom, toothpaste spit on counter and mirror, dirty fridge, I found paraphernalia and used tissues and other garbage around on the floor,also scuffs and dents in the walls. Phone had been disconnected from the wall…the list goes on…Also the room I was in was 5-6 feet from the highway and all I could hear was cars all night and vibrations from heavy trucks or loud vehicles.

I recommend to not waste your hard earned money on this hell hole.
Pros:

Absolutely nothing at all!

Cons:

The hallways had a musty smell and the carpets throughout the hotel were dingy and dirty. Cleaning supplies were lying heaped up in the hallway. The place was extremely overpriced as well. Rooms were also dingy and had a musty smell and even when I asked for a different room and wasn’t much better. Breakfast was simply trash and had minimal options. For over $200 I expected more from the breakfast options.

Comfortable stay close to historic main street
Pros:

Located very close to the historic main street with convenient parking that is not too far away. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The beds were decent and we had a good sleep.

Cons:

The view from our room was not that great as we had an internal room with the window overlooking a fire escape surrounded by buildings.

Pros:

Great location, friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are small but adequate. A comfortable chair in the room would be a great addition! There is no daily maid service but we would rather not have anyone in our room while we have it occupied. Was given all extra towels & necessities when requested.

Pros:

The staff was very nice and helpful, just like last time we stayed there. Its in a great location! My boyfriend loves they have coffee every morning.

Cons:

Only thing didnt like was the bathroom wasnt swept and mopped and you could tell. There was big spots of something between the toilet and the sink. But tub and sink looked clean. I didnt clean complain cuz got told they were short handed but thats gross. Rest of room was clean thank you.

Everything was easy. Quick check in and check out. Staff explained the parking perfectly. Room was clean and comfortable.

A great place to stay
Pros:

This was our 2nd stay at the Gold Dust. The location is perfect for walking around Deadwood! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the cost is at or below average.

Cons:

Parking can be a bit tricky. It's about a block walk to the parking lot and at the time of our last stay there was construction equipment taking up several parking spaces. Also important to consider if there is an event in town
