Loved Boulder but charges were Hight than expected for car.
This hotel is an average cookie cutter Hyatt with all the basics. Clean, garage (xtra per night), breakfast. Just fine if it hadn't been over the top expensive. See below my comments on what I did not like.
We stayed at the Hyatt because it was all I could get ONE year in advance of CU Boulder's graduation. Like all the other hotels in Boulder, the Hyatt did not hesitate to GOUGE us good. The total bill for 4 nights in a double queen with sofa bed was a whopping $4,577.63!! This Hyatt in no way is a luxury hotel. Looking now, the same room for a 4 night weekend in May is $212 per night. Shame on the Hyatt. Shame on us for wanting to stay in the same town as our daughter's graduation.
Room was Clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating.
The manager was super nice, welcoming, and the front desk staff was engaging and helpful. neighborhood felt safe. Street parking was actually not so bad, and there was a lot if needed. Love the welcome cookies!!
I would have loved some Turkey Sausage or some kind of pork alternative for breakfast. Many people don't eat pork. This is generally overlooked and ignored. But other than that, all good! oh, and 24/7 coffee would be nice, too. :-)
Bathrooms need exhaust fans
The property was clean and in a great location
The shower gel bottle was empty. Overall, the staff was great. Unfortunately I had an unpleasant encounter with one of the staff during breakfast - he was walking with a handful of dishes. I almost stepped right in front of him, but when I realized he was coming, I stepped back and apologized. He shook his head at me and gave me a disgusted look. I was shocked at his behavior because I had apologized.
This hotel was perfect for us because of its location. We were in Boulder for a softball tournament and the fields were a 2 minute walk away and the other field was a 7 minute drive away. The Pearl street shopping mall is about a 7 minute drive away too. The area where the hotel is located is a newly developed area near many retail stores and restaurants. The breakfast at the hotel was my kids favorite out of all the 4 hotels we stayed in during our 12 day trip to Colorado. This hotel was the best value for the amount we paid. The breakfast staff was hospitable and very efficient in spite of having so many families there for the softball tournaments.
The parking is somewhat the only issue. It’s either $25 night or you can choose to pay street parking which is $13 a day if you’re at the hotel all day which we weren’t. Parking is free from 7:00pm -9:00am.
Breakfast is just standard American breakfast that you get in the hotels. The room is clean and the location is the biggest plus for this hotel.
Have to pay for parking, and if you park on the street, you will have to walk a little far from the hotel
basic breakfast, not very intuitive
The property is easy to get to. The pool was perfect.
The rooms are nice but like most places recently cleanliness is just not there. It wasn’t awful by any means but spots on walls, dust on switches, mirrors not clean, that sort of thing. Bed was clean, linens were clean:)
* Large and comfortable bedroom
* Staff friendly and welcoming
* Location right next to an BCycles station (so perfect for me, but maybe not so much for someone on foot cause the city centre is 1.5miles away)
* Location close to Wholefoods and other shops
* Breakfast: quantity wise it's good, but the quality is rather poor
Great property
During check-in I was told that they were overbooked and that two queen bed room isn’t available; however, I am glad that the staff was finally able to provide the two queen beds room.
Breakfast was good. Clean and comfortable hotel. Common areas were nice
A bit far from downtown
