Very friendly staff and helpful
The bathroom facilities were in need of a renovation
The two members of staff were brilliant trying to sort the problem
Hotel.was seriously understaffed.
Actual bed wasn't a bed ???? Base disguised with a fitted.sheet ???
The hot water in the shower was scalding hot with no control.over the temperature. Very dangerous ! The staff.tried.sorting it. Tried to upgrade me which the manager was support sort but he basically ran off ! Tried.to get a refund...no money in the account. Complete.nightmare. Left.and.slept on a friends couch. Completely hideous experience. Felt so sorry for the.staff trying to sort things
Staff were brilliant, very friendly. Great guy behind the bar "Harry" kept us laughing.
Had a great evening with the owner and friends with a quiz.
Totally recommend this great hotel.
Great location as a stop off fir Cardiff
I called (after trying 5 times at various times during the day) a few days before to confirm the sleeping arrangements for my 3year old grandson, I was told it was all sorted and it was on the system, when we arrived they didn't seem to know anything about it. It was quickly sorted but the communication needs reviewing and im sure they must lose business by not answering the phone.
The hotel is cosy but needs a bit of attention/updating.
Clean & tidy
Rooms need bit of TLC & new mattresses
We were able to meet up with family for a wedding closeby which worked out well.
Superb staff, no exceptions: smart, friendly, helpful, couldn't have asked for better.
Dinner was much better than we could possibly have expected for an out of the way country pub, the range was excellent and the food was consistently good. Breakfast was spot on. The property was of course a little tired but spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the main lounge and restaurant were very nice.
The corridors in the upper parts of the main building smelt of stale tobacco. Need to deal with that pronto!
Great location easy to find.
Lovely comfortable room.
Dinner and breakfast was good.
No hot water in the morning for a shower.
Great food. Can’t wait to return
Nice old pub with indoor and outdoor areas. Friendly staff.
Food and drinks a bit more expensive than other hotels.
A lovely atmosphere. We drank pimms outside in the evening and it felt like a real holiday.
The room was old fashioned with a view of the church, and we found it charming, but the shower could probably do with some attention.
The location of the property was perfect for us and the staff were fantastic
The carpet in our room was very worn and could do with updating
The staff were very welcoming and the Beaufort is a lovely old style coaching in. Rooms were clean. Great coffee machine in reception for guests to use. Lovely breakfast but no vegetarian alternative for the cooked breakfast.
There was a missing floor board under the carpet right outside the bathroom- not ideal when using the facilities in the middle of the night. Needs fixing.
Shower was great but then attachment holding the head wasn’t strong enough to keep the head up! We had to keep adjusting it!
Bed was very hard. If you like firm mattress you will be ok.
Quiet, friendly, great food. Well located to explore this area of South Wales.

The Beaufort was midway on our journey from Anglesey to South Devon. The staff were ultra friendly and the evening meal we had was excellent. Would definitely stay again.
Couldn’t fault the hotel.
