Lovely little village.
The hotel is situated in a lovely old building, the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast choice was good and well cooked. The staff were all helpful and friendly.
The room was not overly warm and it would have been nice to have had the central heating available. Except for fire instructions there was no other information provided in the room, for example it took some while to find the switch for the electric towel rail which was hidden in the wardrobe.

Die Bar und die Gegend fanden wir sehr anprechend.
Wir wurden erst bei Ankunft darüber informiert, dass das Restaurant keine Abendessen serviert. Auch gab es in der Umgebung kein anderes geöffnetes Restaurant, nur einen Fish&Chips Take away. Zumindest konnten wir das Essen dann in der Bar einnehmen.
Das Frühstück dagegen war gut.

We had our evening meal there which was superb. Staff were really attentive and friendly. Good value, good parking for motorcycles and handy for the M4.

Great location near to the M4, friendly guests, large car park. Breakfast was fabulous- lots of choice and huge portions
My single room had large cobwebs over the windows. Although they advertised food as being served the kitchen was closed- the only other 2 places to get food were Tesco express or the chippy which wasn’t ideal but I fully recognise that these things happen.

The pub quiz and food were lovely.
The room was very basic; based on the reviews and word of mouth, we were expecting more. The dressing table stool was wobbly; it felt like we would've broken it. There was only one small bin, which was a bathroom bin - if you want guests to remain clean and tidy, you should provide another bin. An alarm went off repeatedly early in the morning of our checkout and woke us up. Some staff members were unfortunately not very welcoming or approachable. Many bikers go to the pub, so the constant noise of bikes revving was a little annoying.
