Tälta Lodge, a Bluebird by Lark

We love staying at Tälta. They are dog friendly and we love the vibe. The staff is so nice and welcoming! They are close to Stowe ski resort and have a bus stop to get to the resort right outside their parking lot if you don’t feel like driving to the resort.

Booked for 2 nights but only stayed 1 night due to bad weather conditions and needed to head home early. Hotel was perfect for the 1 night. Did not have cable TV which was a bummer as the Winter Olympics were on.

I loved all the amenities they had there

Clean and nice rooms with hot tub. Convenience store in lobby. Nice staff. Comfortable common areas.

Close to mountain

I had the best time at Talta! The vibe is fantastic and affordable! The staff is informative and wonderful! I loved the Yoga room for stretching after skiing. The sauna and jacuzzi were also helpful for this 61 year young body! The downstairs was so social with families fun and my favorite DOGS! Such a great atmosphere and so so close to the mountain! Definitely going again.

My main issue/concern centers around the thin walls. Our room was the first off the lobby and we could hear guests walking in and out of the hotel, their boots stomping, talking, etc. Additionally, our first night, the music in the lounge was advertised as going until 8pm but it went on until 10:15pm. It was very loud and we could hear it in our room upstairs. Overall our stay was very nosy and, unfortunately, we will not be staying here again—especially considering both the very expensive price for the room and the fact that our trips to Stowe involve at lot of activity and getting a good nights rest is vital.

A few additional items to note:
- On our last night, the water in the shower didn't get hot enough. I had the dial turned all the way and it was just warm.
- The bathroom and room could also use more tables/places to rest items like toiletry bags, purchases, decorative pillows, etc.

no breakfast, but the restaurant across the street was fabulous and gave us a 10% discount on the bill.

Overall a wonderful stay

Cute, quaint and had everything we needed. Live music and small bites right in the hotel, and a shuttle to Stowe Mountain. Comfy bed, hot water with nice water pressure. Enjoyed our stay. We’ll be back!

La localisation du Tatla Lodge est idéal, proche de Stowe, au bord de la rivière en pleine verdure. Les propriétaires ont fait du lieu un vrai petit havre de paix avec des installations ici et là pour profiter de la nature. La piscine est agréable et le jacuzzi aussi.
