Will stay again!
Pros:

First Amy at the front desk was so nice! Though it is an older hotel, it is clean and pet friendly. They have ample places to let your dogs do their business and those areas are clean too. Wine at night! Waffles for breakfast. Easy walk to the Asilomar beach trails. We will stay there again.

Pros:

Not much. The location was great.

Cons:

The mattress is way to soft. The sheets are way too thin. They are scratchy. I ended up with a rash and was itchy the whole week. Bedspread was so light, no warmth, Worst 6 nights of my life. But the worst part was no hot water in the kitchen sink and no hot water in the bathroom sink. How does someone wash their face and brush their teeth and do the dishes in cold water. I called the front desk the day after we arrived asking to have the facets repaired, the guy said he would call some one to fix the problem. I went into the office two days later and he saidwould call someone to fix the problem, like he didn't call the first time. Well I am home and when we left this morning there was still no hot water. No hot water is unacceptable. We won't be back.

Because of this experience, we definitely will not be returning.
Cons:

Upon arrival, we reported that the fireplace in our room wasn't working. The young woman who checked us in was very kind and tried to help, but the manager seemed annoyed that we expected it to be fixed. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. What made this more disappointing is that the exact same issue happened a year ago. Unfortunately, the room had several other problems this time: sand on the floors, no hot water at the kitchen sink for washing dishes, and the refrigerator wasn't cooling properly until we adjusted the temperature ourselves. We also noticed multiple bottom sheets layered on the beds, which made us feel like the bedding wasn't being fully changed between guests. We have always enjoyed staying here, but this visit left us disappointed. To top it off, the milk provided for morning coffee in the office had expired four days earlier and curdled in the cup.

I wasn’t sure what to expect because it was so affordable and it was above our expectations. We will likely return. Than

Location is off the beaten path and still only 10 minutes from the festivities of downtown. Settled in a quiet neighborhood and the individual cottages (especially ours unit 122) was very private.

Cons:

Could’ve been more clean regarding the bedding and the toilet paper was almost gone upon arrival.

Pros:

I mean, it’s cheap and it’s pretty close to a nice beach. Quite a pretty venue.

Cons:

The ev charger was faintly annoying. One of the old skool types where you bring your own charger. Some guy in a non-ev pickup parked there. Of course. Breakfast was just cakes.

Pros:

I appreciated the closeness to the beach, the cottage style rooms were clean and comfortable. It was a quiet location. They allowed our doggies to stay for a reasonable fee. They had cute gathering spaces with picnic tables and a fire pit. Very cute grounds. Will definitely stay there again.

Cons:

If I had to pick one thing, it's to have better coffee in the room.
