Hotel Jardines de Monteverde

The staff are amazing, and the breakfast was one of the best weve had all trip! The facilities are a little older sometimes, but honestly evwrything is clean, beautogul, and the place is very good overall

We booked two suits but only had one parking stall. Breakfast was minimal and didn’t start on time which caused us to have to eat and run to get to our tour. Dinner -pizza was really good but the other members of our party their meals - fish over cooked and potatoes still raw. Would not choose to stay here if we return.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Jorge, our waiter, was extremely nice and gracious. Front desk gal, very helpful in getting our tour set for Cloud Forest and Swinging Bridges.

We got availability in this hotel when other hotels were fully booked, however the rooms are below average and not usable, no proper storages, bathrooms are not that great. We found bugs in the bathroom dustbin.
Also the rates seem pretty high for the kind of room they provided.

Hot water works well but the bathroom, soap and blankets have a weird smell,I think it’s the soap they use. Checkout at the hotel changed it to 11 AM from noon. We didn’t enjoy our stay.

The staff was so nice, and the room was great! Lovely view of the forest and Monteverde. Would definitely stay again.

Friendly staff that treated me like family. Cute rooms and incredibly delicious breakfast and coffee.

The staff is amazing, kind & friendly. The breakfast is outstanding. Walking distance to great food. Hotel decor tends toward retro, but everything else makes up for it. Reasonable price.

El servicio de aseo de las camas y el comedor es muy bueno. El agua caliente es demasiado buena, en realidad abunda. Todo el personal es excelente en su trabajo.
No obstante las zonas verdes no revelan un mantenimiento regular. y la habitación donde me aloje no estaba limpia debajo de las camas, tenia serios problemas de filtración de aguas jabonosas (el problema fue resuelto paliativamente en el día que lo solicité), lo que indica poco interés en corregir el problema. La tv no funciono al ingreso, lo que indica que nadie revisa las habitaciones antes de entregarlas. Los balcones tienen barandas sumamente peligrosas, en partes no existe ninguna barrera y donde si hay, una persona puede fácilmente caer al precipicio pues son de laminas plásticas incapaces de soportar peso. El estacionamiento es sumamente estrecho.

Great location in Monteverde. Older hotel that shows it age. Staff were wonderful and very friendly. We changed cabin/room after first day due to smell. No hot water at all during our stay. Very clean, but not well kept up.

This was a sweet hotel tucked away on a hillside, pleasant walking distance to the town center of Santa Elena. I recommend the upper rooms which have great views. There are small fridges, sinks and a coffee maker. Good breakfast. Fun little bar with a fireplace. Friendly staff.

This hotel was a disappointment. It was old and gross. It was definitely not what i expected. The only positive is that the employees were very friendly and nice.

Convenient location close to food and some shopping. Peak-a-boo views of the ocean. Breakfast is some fruit and a couple pieces toast with juice unless you pay for it. Hot water for showers which was refreshing. Safe place to park your car. Room was small, but comfortable and clean. Thanks.

Great stay. Room was cozy and fast food from bar was delicious. Señora Grace and her staff were sweet and extremely helpful with booking transportation and tours. Hot water...no a.c. but you don't need it here, cool and very windy. Breakfast was great...they offer more, but the continental was all we needed. Up and downhill, but not a far walk to town center...little grocery even closer, maybe 5 minutes walk. Recommended!

Staff was helpful and polite. The hotel was located out of the main part of town so it was near impossible to walk for groceries or shopping or dining. The lobby of the hotel was run down. The room was disappointing, although large, it was dirty. Wireless Internet service was unavailable in the room and slow in the lobby

We had a short stay. Our purpose was to visit the cloud forest. We chose the least expensive rooms. Rooms were very clean but sparse. No hot water available in the sink. Shower was nice. Breakfast was Fantastic. Great Coffee, Fruit and very friendly Staff. Quite windy, cool and wet in Monteverde. Best to be prepared.
