Cute hotel, but not what I was expecting
Pros:

I liked the location at the beach and the staff was friendly. The hotel had old school charm and was quaint. I liked that the staff was available 24/7.

Cons:

The internet connection was awful. It kept dropping and being disconnected, even after I said something to the staff and they tried to boost the signal. Both my phone and the TV had really terrible connection issues. The other big issue was the noise. On 2 occasions there was an event happening in the evening, and the volume of noise from it came through loud and clear in my room. Sound travels at this hotel quite well. Lastly, parking is difficult, especially on the weekends and evenings. This hotel does not have a dedicated parking lot and shares it with other businesses at the beach. I also noticed people who were obviously going to the beach parking in the lot.

Looks nicer on the screen than it really is
Pros:

Location near the beach. Size was intimate. But that's it.

Cons:

The place was under construction and no one warned us. It is an old property and that's OK, but it FEELS old and unkept. The rooftop is a major asset but it lacks nice places to sit. The breakfast salon is large with vaulted ceilings.. could be a major asset but instead it has a few folding chairs and tables. Breakfast is bone-basic and served on folding tables. The front door is faded and full of major scratches. It's a shame because, again, it's supposed to look old but it could be majestic if it were well kept.

Loved it!!
Pros:

very comfortable. Loved the old fashioned look and feel, yet with modern conveniences.

Cons:

Unfoortunately, they had construction going on in the lobby, no doubt an improvement to their facility, but it was a little loud and impacted their serving and seating guests for breakfast. Understand that it is totally unavoidable. Other than that, it was great!!! We will definitely go again!!
