A wonderful getaway!
Pros:

The rooms are very nice! We enjoyed the restaurant and pool and beach. Very good food and fun, low key atmosphere. Going during the week was great because not at all crowded!

Pour avoir séjourné dans cet établissement en 2023, nous avons été très surpris de le découvrir transformé en un complexe qui semblait accueillir toute une population extérieure, rendant plage, piscine et abord un peu bruyants et avec beaucoup de monde. La chambre était parfaite, mais bon en étage avec des bagages, on a vu mieux pour nous.
Bonne literie. PDJ correct et salle parfaitement tenue par une personne très serviable et souriante.
Un espace VIP avec des carbets a été crée, nous avons pu y accéder car gratuit le vendredi, mais le WE c'est 300 USD, c'est clairement archi abusé, on est pas dans un hôtel de luxe

Déjà, le bracelet de couleur à porter aurait du nous mettre la puce à l'oreille. En découvrant ce site qui avait une jolie plage transformé en parking, nous avons été étonné. Coté restaurant, nous avions aimé notre précédent repas avec un chanteur et avions passé un bon moment. Là, c'est le repas le plus insipide de tout notre RT de 36j. Un pseudo cocktail vendu à 14 USD servi dans un verre en plastique avec 50% de glaçons et sans aucun gout, un ceviche de crevettes ( en boite), servi façon tacos nul de chez nul, digne d'une cantine, quant aux chaises en bois elles sont hyper inconfortables. Dommage nous avions bien aimé notre premier passage, mais là, il n'y aura pas de 3ème. C'est hors de prix et devenu bas de gamme alors qu'avant c'était simple et bon

A lovely way to start The Keys
Pros:

The rooms are bright, clean and comfortable. The pool was nice for a cooling dip in the afternoon. Location is great for many of the JP snorkelling tours. The highlight for us has to be the dolphins swimming past the restaurant. Such a lovely way to spend an evening

Nice vibe but very crowded

They let us watch the NHL final in the bar (they did not have the channel in the room)
You can fish as hotel guests at the premises

A/C is very loud and had to go up in the middle of the night emptying out the water container..
pool is very small and again, many at the pool that were not guests at the hotel.

They should provide more for the hotel guests

zum 3. Mal besuchte ich das Resort Gilbert, Zimmer im Obergeschoß mit Blick Waterfront einfach genial, das Zimmer sehr sauber und funktionell. Kurzer Fußweg vorbei am schönen Pool zum Frühstück, das man drinnen im klimatisierten Raum oder auch draußen auf der Terrasse zu sich nehmen kann. Das Personal dort ist sehr aufmerksam und legt sofort nach und fragte vorm Abräumen nach 10 Uhr ob man fertig ist. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und das karibische Flair sehr wohltuend .....

Cons:

Wir waren bisher dort immer von amerikanisch-englisch sprechenden Gästen umgeben, die mit ihrer ordentlichen und höflichen Umgangsart immer für ein sehr entspanntes Miteinander an Strand, Liegefläche, Pool und Restaurant sorgten. Diesmal, Ende Mai 2026 jedoch, war das Publikum dort gefühlt zu 60 - 70 % spanischsprachig und fiel durch ein teils sehr nerviges Verhalten auf wie : laute Handytelefonate im Liegebereich, eigene Minilautsprecher mit laut dröhnender Latinomusik (parallel zur schon laut spielenden Band), zuschreien zwischen Eltern am Strand und Kindern im Wasser, Plastikbecher, Papierservietten und anderen Müll herumliegen lassen bis er über den Strand und ins Badewasser wehte.....
Dafür kann natürlich dieses wunderschöne Resort nichts aber es hinterläßt einen bisher ungewohnt negativen Eindruck......

Localisation isolée avant Key Largo. Options de restauration correctes à prix compétitifs. Chambres confortables, bonne literie, climatisation discrète et fait assez rare pour être souligné pour cette catégorie d'hôtel, isolation tout à fait et très heureusement correcte.

Cons:

Présentation d'ensemble assez moyenne du complexe (hôtel, restaurant et toute petite plage avec sone de baignade très réduite avec bateaux à moteur circulant à proximité). Evitez les chambres sur le côté droit (très proche du restaurant) et sur le côté gauche (escalier longeant la station d'épuration d'eau du complexe très visible). Restaurant TRES bruyant avec orchestre à l'américaine (beaucoup de basse, rifs de guitares appuyés et sono très envahissante: il fallait presque crier pour s'entendre). Lieu très populaire le week-end avec affluence très forte (amateurs de tranquillité, passez votre chemin). Petite piscine curieusement très peu fréquentée. Impératif d'utiliser la voiture pour sortir du complexe.
