I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and more spacious than I had expected. Modern/updated bathroom amenities (toilet, sink, shower) and television (with hulu/netflix/etc). Front desk is virtual so the only employees I saw were the cleaning staff on Sat/Sun morning. Rooms don't have central heating, so I wish I had known that portable room heaters would be on a first-come, first-served basis huddled around the (empty) front desk. By the time I got back each night, they were out of heaters so I had no idea that was even an option until the morning I checked out. The hotel is next to a church so there is a large parking lot across the street that hotel guests also used as overflow. The living, dining, and sitting rooms were straight out of a winter hallmark movie. Very darling and cozy environment. Tired Tired Sea coded, iykyk. The scenery is BEAUTIFUL. Really enjoyed staying here and would gladly stay here again. Just a small tip for the town itself: the McDonalds in town couldn't handle more than two orders at a time; took me 25 minutes to get my order in drive-thru when I was the third car in line. No other national chains available.
There was no one there and
VERY old property older town that needs TLC. The people that work there were great. Bob B
Great place and people
Did not have to worry about whether there would be someone to let us in when we arrived late. Concise instructions were sent via text so we checked in and out with ease.
It was convenient, location
Nice rustic hotel in a small town. Very good for the price. And very friendly staff. Would stay again
After checking in, we decided not to stay and found another place. Staff leaves for the night at around 10:30 leaving no one around overnight. Anyone could come in at any time when you're sleeping. Rooms open with an old fashion key and there is no deadbolt.
Old building but nice for the area. Very very nice staff
Rustic
Charming
it was an old hotel and the likes we have never stayed in because of its age. But it had a unique charm to it, The room was fine and the beds comfortable. The hotels in the Cooperstown area are priced very high this time of year and staying here saved us money and gave us what we needed, It was also nearby for any places we wanted to go to, We would stay here again.
Let me preface this review with this. We were booked for 2 nights at this "hotel" but wound up only staying one, and paying $400 to go stay at an actual hotel the second night, because of how uncomfortable we felt.
The whole area around this property is seemingly condemned or abandoned houses. The walkway is unstable. There was a leak from the second floor into the living room walkway area. The pillows provided were paper thin, and there were stains on them. The towels looked old and had stains on them. The shower head barely worked and spewed water everywhere out of the connection point.
Overall the building seems to have no maintenance completed in quite some time, if not decades. Cheap is one thing, unsafe is another thing all together.
As expected
cheap, and old family style camp, never saw one staff person for three days, quaint, small rooms
Location clean and quiet
Very small and bed smelled like pee
We never saw a staff member the floors creeped the ceilings Creek. Everything very dated doors do not lock unless you’re in the room minimal insulation and walls so you can hear conversations you can hear dogs walking in the hallway and through the ceiling. Our room was like the Willy Wonka grandparents room or the bed healed healed a toe Would not stay there again.
The place was a dump. Not clean no AC in common areas. The pictures do not show how good the place is
Went for a baseball tournament, place is clean and quiet. Had a nice stay
