Friendly staff the staff are excellent

Cons:

It wasn't particularly clean
The lights are annoying you have to get up and turn the main light off no reading light available

Bathroom ok but too small.

Cons:

Dusty room. Furniture dirty and stained.
Curtains not fixed to rail, hanging down. Bed small and too low. In general poor depressing room.

The room was dirty and had not been cleaned.Overall, the room was extremely dirty. It was obvious that the carpet had not been vacuumed, the mirror was covered in dust, and there was dust everywhere. The furniture was old and dirty. I will never stay at your hotel again.

Pros:

Good central location. Friendly staff. Breakfast was OK

Cons:

The hotel is physically a bit tired. A hook and a door stop in our room were hanging off. The shower drain was partly blocked. After our first night we reported it, but nothing was done. Carpets in the corridors needed vacuuming.

Staff were excellent and helpful and the breakfast was better than expected, very clean room

Cons:

The to didn’t work and couldn’t get fixed, the air conditioning was rubbish. Also empty body wash bottle in the bathroom

Lovely one night stay.
Pros:

The welcome from Helga was lovely. Very helpful . We had never stayed in a holiday inn express before but we certainly will again in the future. Our room was a great size and the shower was too. From the outside the building looked basic and a bit dull but as soon as we entered the whole experience changed. We had a drink in the bar after we had been out later. The staff on duty then were lovely. Breakfast was perfect and lots of choice.

Cons:

Husband complained about the toilet seat not staying up when he went to the loo.

Pros:

The young staff were really friendly and had great customer service skills so often missing in hospitality industry these days.

Cons:

Shower in particular was a bit dated and very slippery so needed the grip mat as it didn’t drain away quickly leaving it slippery on the soap suds.

Wakefield Weekend
Pros:

Good central location, on site car park was small, however there was a reasonably priced multi story car park very close by. Staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Good breakfast, reasonably priced on site bar. Everything needed for a quick getaway.
