convenient to explore Walla Walla, but we won't stay there again

Smelled like someone defecated in the lobby.

Location is okay, rooms are updated and well appointed.

Cons:

The front lobby smelled like sewage the entire time we stayed there. We were holding our breath and speed walking to the front door or the elevator the whole trip. The upstairs hallway also smelled of sewage, but not as bad. When we mentioned it to the front desk agent at checkout, she pretended like she didn’t smell it but then moments later mentioned that they have had plumbers on the property that confirmed everything was in working order. Her response was strange and her blatant lie about not smelling the odor made us feel uncomfortable. We weren’t upset with her or aggressive at all, we just couldn’t not mention it when asked how our stay was. The rates were also high for the weekend even though there weren’t any local events going on. I will not be staying at this location again.

Great location and a great staff.
Pros:

Great staff. When we showed up the attendant at the front desk asked what brought us to town. I explained that we had our 3 year old grandson and were coming to use the pool as he loves to swim, she placed us in a room just across from the pool. Every staff member we walked past said hello and was very curious. Room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. They have a restaurant in the hotel or there are plenty of options within walking distance.
We really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to coming back in the future.

Brand new

Cons:

No coffee available in the lobby until Starbucks opened.
Won’t reserve thru Booking.com vs direct thru Marriott again as you don’t receive any of your Marriott perks. Had to pay for internet, the wrong room was reserved and it was a major issue to get it changed.

Pros:

The room was decent but the t.v. kept losing the internet signal. It took us asking twice to get this fixed but was never fixed properly. The bathroom had mold in the shower. Overall, the stay was poor.
