If tired of modern hotel chains and yearn for something sublimely different..its here!!
Pros:

We had been twice before nearly 20 years ago and it held special memories....feared it may not live up to these but was as romantic, atmospheric and well run as before......the pictures ,whilst impressive, don't capture the full magic of the place
The staff are terrific, well motivated and friendly.....a little 20 mins from Marrakech but a serenely quiet place to unwind after any excursions. If you like something out of the ordinary and tired to modern hotel chains......this will amaze you

Cons:

Important to know that the hotel is very animal friendly .....so if you are allergic to cats....be warned

Das Caravan Serai ist eine außergewöhnliche Oase nahe Marrakesch mit exzellentem Service, hervorragender Küche und traum
Pros:

Das Caravan Serai ist eine wirklich einzigartige Unterkunft – absolut empfehlenswert! Es liegt etwa 15 Autominuten von Marrakesch entfernt. Zunächst hat man das Gefühl, sich zu verfahren und nie anzukommen. Doch dann entdeckt man hinter einer unscheinbaren Lehmauer eine Tür, man geht durch und es eröffnet sich ein kleines Paradies.

Das Personal ist äußerst zuvorkommend und spricht sehr gut Englisch. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das hervorragende Frühstück. Auch alle anderen Gerichte, die man den ganzen Tag über bestellen kann, sind ein wahrer Genuss.

Von der Dachterrasse aus hat man einen atemberaubenden Blick über eine scheinbar endlose, freie Landschaft bis hin zum Atlasgebirge.

Schöner Aufenthalt vor den Toren Marrakeshs

Sehr sehr nettes Personal!! Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt! :)
Leckeres Frühstück mit reichlich Auswahl. Auf dem ganzen Grundstück verteilt viele gemütliche Plätze zum Sitzen. Die Zimmer werden täglich gereinigt. Toller Pool! Das Gebäude ist wirklich beeindruckend. Abends ist die Anlage toll beleuchtet! Unsere Suite hatte eine Terrasse mit Liegestühlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Cons:

Man sollte wissen, dass es viele Katzen gibt, die zwar alle sehr süß und zutraulich sind, allerdings auf diversen Polstern Kratzspuren und Haare hinterlassen. Dadurch wirken einige Möbel etwas älter. Fürs Abendessen gibt es in Marrakesh deutlich bessere Restaurants mit mehr Auswahl.
Mit einem Auto ist man etwas flexibler. Das dritte Bett in der Suite hatte leider eine sehr harte Matratze, das Doppelbett war gemütlich.

Es un lugar maravilloso por su diseño y comfort. La ubicación no es cercana al centro y a la llegada puede resultar confuso pero es un lugar perfecto desde el que visitar la zona

Disappointed! No where near its previous levels
Pros:

This place could be , and was , so good. But it lacks TLC and really needs a clean up and revamp. But at the price charged , probably decent value

Cons:

Overpowering smell of cats and their urine!
The place has been let go from its previous levels.
Eg towels thin and old. Plumbing iffy. Dirty robes. Duvet smaller than bed. None of these huge issues but adds up to sub standard experience

Hotel with more cats than guests
Pros:

I came 24 years ago and wanted to come back. It’s still beautiful but needs a bit of renovating . The staff is very nice and friendly.

Cons:

There were 20 cats ! I have a strong cat allergy and a hotel who is almost a house for cats should mention that on their website. In all of Morocco there are cats but the director has a charity for cats and I feel this cannot be mixed up with a public place like a hotel.

Horrible stay in Marrakesh
Pros:

The bedroom was nice but the tv didn’t work very well. No microwave or coffee machine.

Cons:

The location was in the centre of a shantytown. Extremely dirty unpaved road. Thrash everywhere. Horrible.
