Classic old seaside hotel, the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.
It may be the time of year, but yeah, outside did look tired. But the building has some fabulous features.
Despite reading how it was a very Pro dog hotel I didn’t see one dog and the room was clean and didn’t smell of dog. Very welcoming on the front desk and great being able to use the spa facilities at the sister hotel. Could also see the see :-)
Breakfast was expensive so I walked in to Shanklin for a cracking full English at half the price
Lovely location on the cliff top facing South East. My first room (28) had a strange smell so the reception changed me to a lovely quiet room 10, also away from the front door where dog walkers were chatting loudly and smoking. Both rooms had baths and showers which I like. The breakfast is first class. Very convenient for the Chine.
This is a very pro dog hotel. The first thing you see when you go in through the door are things for dogs. Dogs are allowed in the dining room and because owners keep their dogs away from other dogs, they were hard to get away from. There was a big rolling video screen of dogs in one room.
The indoor swimming pool is in the sister hotel next door and is quite small for a hotel of such a size. It didn't seem too appealing.
breakfast is nice
We booked dinner for a celebrating my husband bday. The food was dry, each meal is ready to serve. So we did not wait long which I think is to rush. But we enjoyed our night as it was my husband bday.
The location is great, great views from room as well, the breakfast was fresh and filling and a great atmosphere in restaurant, the location is spot on, with great access to the beach
The light on bathroom mirror wouldnt turn off so had a glow from bathroom all night, even with door shut
The facilities and staff
N/A
Lovely beautiful and very clean in our room lovely clean fresh towels everyday and coffee and biscuits was a nice touch the staff were all very friendly and polite. The breakfast was amazing because of the great choice.Loved the swimming pool and hot tub in both hotels .The hotel is set in an excellent location to the bars, shops and the Chine and not to far from the beach which was great loved the views, also would like to thank Brook who looked after our bags on our last day as we had to vacate our room @11 and our Ferry was not till 6.15 meant we could do a little more sightseeing and shopping without having to carry our bags which was a great help
Although I know the hotel is a dog friendly place which is great if you own a dog/dogs i was not really comfortable with the fact dogs could come into the dining areas just think personally it was not very hygienic especially whilst eating my breakfast think they should allocate certain areas for owners and their dogs to eat their food
Leisure facilities clean appealing
Breakfast plenty of choice
Sea view paid and booked, but hardly a seaview - none from 2 windows and partial from 3rd
7 nt stay and no change of bed sheets at all
Door to room sometimes did not close automatically, had to be physically pulled hard to close fully
Great staff, very clean, super dog friendly, lovely location
Room very warm as no air conditioning, pool too cold, dates feeling.
Views from the room and restaurant were excellent
Breakfast and meals were excellent can’t recommend this hotel enough
