The location was great and the room was comfortable!
The room was quite small and the breakfast was expensive.
Great staff & great location that has view and walking distance to Shanklin beach. For the price, good value.
The pictures are overstating the reality of the rooms. A bit worn out, and beds dont have enough support, you can fall down at the edge. Not good noise insulation, we could hear our neighbors all night.
Great location, friendly staff, excellent brealfast. Nice surroundings, direct seaview and super dog friendly.

My husband Neville Dyer booked the ferry . He called Luccombe manor and booked the ferry . He came home from work tired but wanted to get this issue out of the way . I sat beside him while he booked . He was specific that he needed a evening ferry , which would've been 20:20 , however . I soon found out that for this establishment their conversations are not clear . My husband asked for a evening ferry due to the fact that we would be traveling when he gets home from work , however . They booked the ferry for 8:20 am instead of 20:20 pm . Our book-in details says checking in is from 3-10 pm on Friday . Why would be be there from 8:20 am . To make matters worst , the staff seems helpless when they called while we were on our way . They were helpless to even try and assist us properly by calling the ferry and change our traveling time . MY HUSBAND and I slept at the ferry dock in Porthmouth and was not on a ferry until 1:30 am the next day , which was Saturday . We were charged for 2 nights , however . We didn't spend 2 nights there , we slept at a port in Portmouth . Saturday evening I called to book dinner for 2 . The staff member didn't even tell me where dinner was served . We assumed it was at the manor as that was where we were staying and where we had breakfast . When we arrive downstairs we were told that dinner is at their other property next door . My husband and I went out in the rain to find the other hotel , however after not knowing exactly where to go , we went and told the staff , to direct us , however. His directions were not clear so we got frustrated and got take out instead .
Had a lovely 4 night stay at this hotel in March, fortunately during one of the sunniest weeks of the year so far. The staff were very friendly and we had a lovely sea view room, very large with lots of storage and fab views. The hotel is very welcoming to dogs, which was appreciated. It's in a great location, opposite Rylestone gardens where we could enjoy an early morning walk and saw a squirrel, it's a short walk alongside Shanklin Chine into Shanklin old village and a 20 minute walk down to the beach. On arrival as I was getting out of the car in the car park I spotted a red squirrel running along the fence (we were excited about the red squirrels as we never saw any last time we visited the IOW). We also enjoyed the swimming pool, sauna and hot tub in the sister hotel a couple of times and had it to ourselves, which was great.
Bonus feature: I loved the electric blinds in the room, I could lay in bed in the early morning and put the blinds up and see the sun rising over the sea - lovely. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely like to come again.
Had breakfast once, the choice was great but I didn't particularly enjoy the hot breakfast itself. Also one time we ordered a takeaway meal, unfortunately they notified the wrong room when it was ready for collection so by the time we got it, it was stone cold. My husband took it back to the main hotel and as it was getting late he just asked for it to be reheated, sadly my macaroni cheese came back half the size! Disappointing but to be fair to them the hotel did not charge us for this meal. Hopefully this was just an unfortunate one off incident.
lots of things for children, very dog friendly
the food
general totality.
nothing
Wonderful staff and very dog friendly!
Nothing! We look forward to visiting again
Very clean and well maintained, nice staff and excellent breakfast. The hotel is in a very nice location and is very peaceful.
The restaurant in the sister hotel is not to the the same standard as Luccombe manor, there is no atmosphere and the food is very average.
Staff were wonderful, could not do enough to help. All main areas were cleaned to perfection, amazing decor, attention to detail was incredible. The room was simply stunning with amazing views, comfortable and warm. The pool, games room and gardens were all incredible. Breakfasts were best we have ever had and dinner at the luccombe hall was exceptional. Absolutely perfect stay. Could not fault a thing.
I didn't like the fact this place is rated only a 3 star on booking.com! Madness! This is a 5 star in our view. Just perfection!
