Spacious, well equipped room with poor breakfast and pricey parking
Pros:

The room we were first offered smelled bad, but the receptionist kindly moved us to another one.
The room was quite spacious and well-equipped.

Cons:

I found parking at the hotel to be expensive.
The breakfast is pretty poor, and it's not included in the room rate.

Choose Somewhere Else
Pros:

The room was adequate. No major problems, except the shower doors didn’t close properly and therefore leaked all over the bathroom floor.
The main lobby had a limited pantry - no breakfast type foods (muffins, bagels, etc), probably so you spend the overpriced rate for their buffet. They had an urn for coffee but it was dirty looking and didn’t seem to be fresh later in the day. There was no decaf available at all, nor was there any water like I am used to seeing in other hotels. You could purchase bottles of water, but nothing complementary.
The breakfast was overpriced ($20 per person). We were initially told we could order off the menu but when we got there we were told no, that they didn’t have the staff available and we would have to get the buffet. The food was not good. My oatmeal was like wet concrete and looked like it had been made three days prior. Multiple plates were dirty. The only fresh fruit available were mostly black bananas. Bacon was sitting in a pool of grease. We would have gone out elsewhere but there was no where close by.
Speaking of which - be prepared to walk or pay for Uber - nothing is close, not even a convenience store.

Don’t waste your money. Find a better hotel!
Pros:

Staying in a Hilton hotel used to mean quality, but not anymore!! I didn’t mind paying almost 500 dollars to stay for two nights or the added on fee of 35 dollars a day to park because I thought the stay would make up for it. Again, I don’t mind paying for quality! But you are not paying for quality at this hotel. You’re paying for a brand name. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in in my life!! From the moment we arrived, our stay got worse and worse. When a person in our group decided to take a shower, more water poured out from around the tub handle than what came out of the actual shower head! But whatever, at least we can shower and the water was clean. Upon looking up while washing hair, black spots were noticed along the ceiling. It wasn’t long before we realized why those spots were there. No ventilation to suck that moisture out. The bathroom is tiny (big enough one person can turn in a circle) It doesn’t take long for such a small space to fill with steam. We had to leave the door cracked to let the steam out just to make it comfortable enough to breathe. Once the steam shower was finished, I went to turn off the light and I could hear the electricity crackling like I would get electrocuted if I didn’t move my hand from the switch fast enough. I can only assume the moisture from the shower got to the wiring to cause this issue because after the room dried out, I didn’t experience this again. Later, we went to make a bag of popcorn in the microwave provided in our room. I grabbed the handle on the microwave to open the door and I gently pulled as one would to open it. The microwave turned on. I quickly let go and the microwave turned off. Weird. I did it again, and once again the microwave turned on. I mean the light came on, the plate spun, and the machine hummed like it would to cook food. I simply shook my head and popped the popcorn, determined to make the most out of our trip. Finally, we go to settle into bed around 10:30. I’m almost asleep when all of a sudden, a jackhammer is going off, not only in our room, but right next to the head of my bed. I’m wide awake now! We happened to know the people next door because we’re all here for the same event. A quick message led to us discovering the jackhammering noise in the wall started when the neighboring room turned on their shower. The jackhammering noise was the pipes and upon further inspection, we found a white plastic panel in the wall where the noise was coming from. That tells me this has been a persistent problem and that panel was put in so maintenance could work on the pipes when it acted up. Then the icing on the cake: night two of our stay, we headed down to the lobby after a sudden craving for ice cream hit. The elevator door opened and we went to step out, only there were so many people packed into the lobby that we had to squeeze through in a single file line. Why? This hotel only has two elevators that take you to the guest stay floors. One of those elevators broke so every guest that was coming and going had to use one elevator. Several of us got tired of waiting to go back up, so we asked if we could just take the stairs. We were told, “No, the stairs are only for exiting in emergency situations.” Ice cream was nearly melted by the time we made it back to our room. I laid down for the night on night two just thankful that we got to go home the following day but wait! There’s that 11PM shower our neighbor was taking! Breathe in, breathe out. Whooo-saw or whatever Martian Lawrence said in Bad Boys 2. It’s just a shower. It won’t take that long. I pray. I don’t pray our neighbor takes a quick shower. I pray that God gives me the strength to keep from marching down to the lobby and giving every person associated with this hotel a piece of my mind. God reminded me that if I did that, I’d probably never make it back to bed with only one working elevator. Deep breath, jackhammer quiets, anger settles, sleep comes. But the joke was on me because that jackhammer started up again, bright and early at 6:30AM. I only wish I could upload videos of all of these issues, unfortunately, it only allows photos. If you’re a young twenty-something that plans on coming to the city to party it up and this hotel is close to your venue, go ahead and spend the hundreds of dollars on it. You’ll probably be drunk enough to sleep through the jackhammering pipes. But if you’re a mom who’s needing a place for you and your daughter to get some rest on a huge tournament weekend, maybe find someplace else. Unless you like your wake up call to sound like a jackhammer, you want the thrill of a possible electrocution every time you turn the light off after a shower, and you like being forced to hang out in the lobby in your pajamas for what you think will just be a quick snack grab. Then by all means, this is the place for you.
