Cleanliness
5.8
Mixed but leaning negative: multiple reports of poor cleanliness (urine splashes, hair, unpleasant odour, dusty room) though some guests described rooms as clean and tidy.
Service
9.1
Generally praised: staff repeatedly described as friendly, welcoming and helpful. A few reports of disorganisation and one instance of poor front-desk handling (extra charge incident).
Location
9.6
Consistently strong: riverside/beautiful setting, excellent for Rob Roy Way and scenic views; good parking. Minor issue noted with unlit pathway to town.
Room Quality
6
Frequently described as dated/tired: old-fashioned decor, worn mattresses, needs refurbishment; some rooms spacious and comfortable but others had noise or layout issues.
Amenities

Good basic amenities: buffet breakfast, bar/restaurant, ample parking and well-kept grounds. Coach-party entertainment is a feature that some guests found undesirable.
Value for Money
7.3
Mixed: several guests felt the hotel was overpriced for its condition (compared to expectations), while others found it acceptable for a stopover.
Food and Beverage
8.7
Breakfast widely praised (buffet, hearty choices); food generally good though a few guests found evening meals basic and one report of an unclean shower hose (mould).
Overall Experience
8.7
Mixed-to-positive overall: excellent location, friendly staff and strong breakfast lift the experience despite dated rooms, occasional cleanliness issues and group/coach-hotel atmosphere.

Pros:

There's a good deal in the restaurant for residents. Nice location.

Cons:

Our room needed a dusting. It's a hotel geared up for coach parties with entertainment in the evening.

Passable
Pros:

Location, setting. Breakfast great choices. OK for quick stopover. Bus party hotel mainly.

Cons:

Rooms and corridors extremely dated. Artex central! Our room was next to boiler room with massive flue which kept exhausting every so often- it was like a jet engine - so sleep impacted. Not really a lettable room.

Nie wieder und gar nicht zu empfehlen.⁸
Pros:

Durchgefallen auf ganzer Linie.

Cons:

Sauberkeit war gar nicht gegeben. Einrichtung des Zimmers sehr altmodisch. Matratze durchgelegen. An der Toilette Urinspritzer, in der Dusche Schambehaarung uvm. Reines Gruppenhotel. Massenabfertigung.

Pros:

Awful experience, hotel charged 40 a night more to add partner to already booked double room.
Breakfast was grim, very basic and not cooked well
Hotel has a pathway to town as no pavement on road, , path is pitch black at night, no lighting at all.
Room was like returning to 1973, decor poor, not overly clean either, tired and jaded
Overall a poor stay, far too expensive for facilities provided,no way would I return

Cons:

Cleanliness, friendliness, facilities on site
