We were able to have our two Lagotto dogs in their soft travel crates in our room and were able to take them with us to the bistro/bar. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice walk nearby along the river bank.

No entertainment, TV room, movie night, bingo all as said on booking.com Only served carvery during day so had same a la carte menu every night. Nothing to do in town except go to odd shop. No other restaurants.

The room is spacious and lovely, and the bed is incredibly comfortable. No problems at all!

The staff were absolutely fantastic. I was running very late for check-in, got lost on the way, and was starting to panic. My phone battery was almost dead, so I quickly sent them a message saying, “I’ll be late.” Within minutes, they replied: “No problem, there will be someone waiting for you to check in.”

That was such a relief and really made a stressful situation much easier. Excellent service and genuinely wonderful staff. Highly recommended!

Cons:

The bathroom could have been designed a little better, but that’s hardly the hotel’s fault! The shower was great, with perfect water pressure and temperature, and that’s what really matters.

Pros:

It was a great place to stay. We spent one night her to break up our long journey to the South West. The beds were very comfortable, we had a nice meal at a very reasonable price, the place was very quiet and there was plenty of car parking areas.

If you are looking for a place to stay without the personal touch this is the place to go.
Pros:

The waitress was very friendly and helpful.
The girls at the bar are a good value members of staff.
They were the only people you see.
No front desk apart from checking in.

Cons:

Rooms didn’t get cleaned properly every day, dirty cups and classes left in the room.
Hotel very basic.
