Hilton Garden Inn Chengdu Huayang

The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The staff exceptionally helpful. The free waters helped a lot.

Hotel staff service attitude is very poor, I live through the integration of the Hilton reservation to a friend, my friend to the hotel, the hotel refused my friend check in, and discriminated against, my friend, later, I need to cancel the order, the hotel will not cancel, I contacted behind the member center to cancel, but not refundable integral hotel, the hotel service was really bad

We stayed here for the 2019 World Police and Fire Games. The staff was VERY HELPFUL!! The dinner room staff went above and beyond especially Eddy and Adel. There is onsite laundry so you can wash your clothes. Their gym area could use a couple more pieces of equipment. There is no pool but they do have a SPA.

It is located right next door to a local shopping area. We actually bought hot food from the shopping mall and brought it back to the room. We had forgotten our cell phone adapter and they gave us one to use.

It was right next door to the market. The dinning room staff were GREAT. The gym needed more equipment.

Very nice staff, warm! The rooms has AC unit but doesn’t turn on so it was very warm I had to ask the staff to leave the window open. The month is March and just starting to get warm. Don’t turn on the AC even the setting is in Cold Air because only heater will come on!

As always, the hotel staff is excellent especially the housekeeping crew. Breakfast is exceptional! There were two things we were disappointed with during our stay:
1. Smoking in public places, such as the spa and near the gym.
2. Spa service. We signed up for a 90 min massage and received 70 mins. Although they made it up the next day after I expressed my concerns to the manager, the atmosphere was not the top rated Hilton standard. People were smoking in the waiting area and the entire floor was filled with unpleasant odors.

Other than the above, the hotel is near shopping centers and not far to Emei Mountain and it is very inexpensive to stay at the hotel.

I ain't stay at lots of HGI, this is the one which impressed!
Receptionists were both professional and smart (Credits belong to the Front desk, always there for me!)
F&B was also good:)
The room was spacious, high floor, standard HGI.
As a Diamond member, complementary services and treatments from the HGI Chengdu were highly appreciated!

Having stayed in a number of Hilton Garden Inns, this one is by far one of the nicest properties. Lobby is very nice, rooms are spacious and the hotel really does look only two years old.

We were there for sight seeing and to be honest this hotel is not ideal for it. There is a Metro stop about 10-15 mins by Taxi which the hotel staff are happy to assist in ordering, however getting back from the subway to the hotel can prove challenging and both nights we travelled here we were forced to walk back to the hotel (about 30 minutes or so) despite flagging down numerous taxis they were uninterested.

I know construction is taking place on the subway and if this hotel is lucky to benefit from a stop within a 5 minute walk of the property it will assist greatly in making it a more desirable location for tourists.

I chose this hotel because of a great deal with Hilton Honours points. It is clean and well appointed. The staff are very helpful. I couldn't work out why this hotel has been located where it is. Even the Global Centre is quite a long way away. I found it difficult to get a taxi one night. So, if you want to see the old sights, you are a long way away.

I must complement one staff member (whose name I can't remember) for looking out for me. I was sitting in the bar watching the World Cup. A rowdy and friendly bunch of Chinese men asked me to join them for some "Ganbei, ganbei" activity. I am an Australian of Western appearance. The staff member kept on checking in to ensure that I was alright, as the gentlemen kept on drinking heavily and getting more rowdy. I was fine, but I really appreciated the staff member keeping an eye out and checking in.

My wife and I just stayed for the first time at the Hilton Garden Inn Chengdu Huayang. We travel a lot for business, and this hotel meets the basic needs just fine. I had lots of trouble staying connected to the wifi, almost to the point where I could not take care of important business, so a bit disappointing as compared to other hotels. We are very thankful for a very capable air conditioner, and for the clean room. The buffet breakfast seems to offer less than Holiday Inn Express, but I enjoyed the waffle machine and mango juice. Location isolated, but we were able to walk back from dinner last night at a Sichuan hot pot using GPS on my phone from about 2km away.

it provides high quality service and food. the location is a little bit far from downtown, so maybe not a good choice for tourists. but it's OK for a business trip since it's close to the city's new areas including high tech zones.
