Nice character hotel nice to not stay in a chain especially in Wytheville

Nice character food in the restaurant is very good it’s in town so very little traffic noise

Beautiful Hotel and do not miss the opportunity to stay here!
Pros:

Beautiful hotel and exceptional staff! The rooftop bar and lounge area was a wonderful surprise. The dining room served fantastic food options, and the staff made recommendations for us. We only stayed one night but would enjoy returning and exploring the Wytheville area.

Excellent hotel. Lovely atmosphere and beautiful architecture.
Pros:

Loved the bar area and the room was outstanding. Beautifully done. Love that they kept the past associated with the present.

Cons:

Wish we would have had “real” coffee mugs in the room but everything was very nice. It was nice to have a Kerig coffee maker.

Always enjoy our stay to and from SC to visit grandkids
Pros:

Location and cleanliness. The restaurant is great. Always good food! Definitely will keep staying there!

Cons:

On 4/14 when we were leaving around 6:30 am the receptionist was leaned back scrolling on her phone and didn’t even look up or acknowledge us departing. You know like maybe saying at least “Good morning “ or “Safe travels”…something. The daytime receptionist was always pleasant.

Beautiful view with history
Pros:

Amazing view from the roof patio and from our room . Lovely restaurant dining.

Cons:

We could hear our neighbors coughing through the walls . Breakfast food was not timely refilled when we came- no eggs left

Pros:

Beautiful lobby and room. Very friendly staff. Restaurant was very good.

Cons:

Breakfast foods were ice cold at 7 am, when it opened. There were cereal, bagels to have instead.

This was a nice stop on a road trip.
Pros:

The location is great. It’s right in the downtown with shopping etc. There are 2 breweries within walking distance

Wonderful!
Pros:

Loved the Bolling Wilson. It was comfortable, clean and the staff was friendly. Had a nice restaurant and bar. I loved also that Seven dogs and Seven sisters breweries were within walking distance. Definitely coming back and bringing my husband. They had a fabulous antique store also three blocks away called Jo Jo’s. Talked to several people and two people moved here because the town is awesome!

It tries but really misses the mark with breakfast, it would have been better if they didn’t offer it

The rooms were fairly decent with comfortable beds, thick towels and nice toiletries

Cons:

The breakfast, like every review states, was an extremely sad affair, akin to a motel 6 with nothing healthy to eat at all except a tiny pre packaged yogurt. Terrible coffee. Such a shame since the hotel has some history and seems to try in most other areas.

Quaint town to visit briefly.
Pros:

Building was nice. Smelled upon entry but room was clean and did not have the same smell as the lobby. Breakfast was average at best. Coffee shop across the street much better.
