Pros:

Location of the hotel was excellent, in the heart of Melbourne CBD and very close to the different public transport options. Very good access to the laneways and shopping precincts as well.

Cons:

Reception on the first floor is a bit different, I kept going to the ground floor when I needed to talk to someone.

Okay. Yes I would stay there again. Having the tram to Convenetion centre made it suitable.
Pros:

Consistent. Easy check in. Simple process. Value for money. Clean

Cons:

Rm 315 - noisy outside machine. Used ear plugs to sleep worked. Shower worked - however if I was with another person, privacy may have been a problem.

Overpriced ‘budget’ hotel with dark, dingy and stained rooms in urgent need of renovation
Pros:

The location was perfect and check in was quick and easy.

Cons:

Unfortunately, I felt that this hotel is priced much too highly for what you get. Although I had read the past reviews and was expecting slightly dated interior, I found it to be much worse than expected. From a large, worldwide chain, I expect much better. The interior of the hotel, including corridors and the bedroom, is in urgent need of renovation. The carpets were stained and worn down, the walls were stained and everywhere was generally dark and dingy. I would not recommend paying the price purely for the location, Melbourne has excellent transport links so next time I would stay somewhere less central in order to get better value for money. Overall a very disappointing stay that leaves me unwilling to use Ibis Budget again.

Pros:

The staff were helpful and great and the bed was really comfy! Fridge in room was handy.

Cons:

It’s really old, it needs a facelift and some love. The rooms are tiny and there are no windows. But it’s clean, safe and comfortable to sleep.

Fair, but not to the usual standard I’ve come to know with Ibis hotels.
Pros:

Excellent location in the cbd and the rooms were a decent size.

Cons:

No proper bathroom, toilet was in a room the size of a broom cupboard and the shower was in the main room with only a curtain for privacy. No additional pillows and only one extra blanket even though there were 2 beds.

Pros:

Central location for shops and restaurants.

Cons:

Carpet needs replacing. Workmen carrying out repairs leaving mess in the corridors wasn’t ideal. View from window very unappealing.
